Description

Swallows Nest is a beautiful self contained bed and breakfast suite, complete with its own private entrance, lounge and dining area. Ideally suited for 2 guests but as there is a sofa bed in the lounge we can accommodate an extra 2 guests including children if needed(for the extra guests there is an additional cost please see price list). You will enjoy a delicious breakfast being brought to you, many of the ingredients we use are locally sourced and award winning produce. You will love our little B&B as it is a little different mainly because it's so private and breakfast is served through a hatch from the main house so it means you can fall out of bed and sit in your PJ's to have breakfast and hopefully completely relax. A lot of time and care has been taken to make it look perfect for you.We are perfectly placed in the heart of the Peak District for many outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, horse riding, climbing or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful

Chatsworth House and the market town of Bakewell are just a short drive away. Swallows Nest itself is in the small picturesque village of Monyash which is situated at the top of lathkill Dale a famous nature reserve and great for walking, also we are ideally placed for those wishing to walk the Limestone Way as we are about half way so great for a nights stay and to recharge those tired legs. I forgot to mention fresh homemade cake will be waiting for you on your arrival!

“A home away from home”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2015

This one bed cottage is the most charming B&B we have ever stayed at. It's brilliant, you have the space of a cottage but without the hassle of cooking breakfast as Suzanne asks you the day before what time and what would you like to eat and then like clockwork you get a knock on the hatch and a lovely breakfast is waiting for you... And it really is a lovely breakfast! We spent 3 nights in the cottage and found the location perfect, only 10 min drive from Bakewell, there is a pub and cafe in the village and both dog friendly so perfect for us. This cottage really is a luxury B&B as you feel completely relaxed as soon as you arrive, the condition and cleanliness are perfect too. Suzanne was even kind enough to leave us a lovely slice of Victoria sponge every day! We will look forward to revisiting this place.

“This B&B is so good, I'm keeping it a secret.”

I stayed at Swallows Nest shortly after it opened for business. The accommodation is very special – tasteful, comfortable and spacious. I simply cannot find fault. The breakfast was superb, with ingredients sourced from local suppliers of the highest quality. Suzanne and family create the perfect welcome. Please keep Swallows Nest a secret, or it may be full when I want to stay in the future.

“B+B with a difference”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2014

We arrived on foot to a very warm welcome which included homemade cake and comfort! The 'nest' is the perfect space for two. It gives a real feeling of privacy with the benefits of a delicious home cooked breakfast and we loved coming down in our PJs in the morning without feeling self conscious. Monyash is a beautiful little village with a very good pub serving tasty food only a short distance from Swallows Nest. I would definitely recommend this quirky B+B and hope to return sometime in the future. Thanks Suzanne!
