“Pet friendly cottage was to a very high standard..lovely views from front and back”

Reviewed 14 May 2017

The cottage is situated on a hillside overlooking the Montrose Basin and the bay of Montrose.great view daytime and evening with the lighthouse at Ferryden flashing in the darkness. Excellent base for touring a very interesting area. Beaches are great for walkers and Dogs.

Owner's reply: We love the night time view....so pleased you enjoyed your stay and welcome back anytime.

“Lovely location but the cottage lacks any character”

Reviewed 4 Dec 2012

Jasmine Cottage is beautifully located in a quiet rural setting surrounded by farmland and well off the beaten track. Whilst the inside of the cottage is clean, well decorated and well equipped and has all that you would need, in it's renovation has stripped out any features or character. Almost all furniture appears to be from Ikea and this coupled with a tasteful but vey bland decor made me feel like I could have been in a new house on any housing development in the country. The wood burning stove seemed to be the only concession to the cottages history ( and this is new) Most worryingly however would be the disturbed sleep we all suffered from - (not from any traffic noise - it really is in the middle of nowhere) where the rustlings, scratching and chewing noises coming fomr the roof space. I think we were not the only visitors to the cottage

Owner's reply: We apologize for the 'unwelcome guests' that you heard. As we are in the country mice are a problem but the cottage is now fitted with an electronic Pest-Stop mice control, which has illiminated the problem.

“Jasmine Cottage is a home from home.....simply stunning.”

Reviewed 20 Nov 2012

We are a family with 2 children (ages 8 and 5) and a dog. Jasmine Cottage is a beautiful home. I say home because there is everything you could possibly need and a lot more!!! From games and DVD's for the children, to a toasty log burner, fast wi fi for working and luxuriously appointed throughout. There is so much to do that this is our 2nd visit to Jasmine Cottage. The beaches are stunning and long and sandy....kids and dog loved them!! Beautiful river walks with amazing scenery, coffee shops and gorgeous restaurants a plenty! The only problem is putting on weight!!! :o) Theres also horseriding, plenty of golf courses to choose from and a superb play area for kids at Montrose Beach - to name but a few of the things to do!! Jasmine Cottage also has beautiful open views....its set on a farm and you can see the Montrose Basin from all the front windows, to the rear there is a lovely decking area and views over farmland. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone...we will definitely be going back!!!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your positive comments, we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
