Description

Arranged over three floors built against the massive stonework of a 13th century watch tower, La Tour provides a small sitting room with kitchen facilities and breakfast bar, a double bedroom and a fabulous bathroom with large shower and double sunken bath set at the foot of a stunning atrium linking all three floors. La Tour is set in its own sunny garden.

The tower is on a quiet side street some 50 yards from the shops and cafés of the semi-pedestrian Rue d’Hérambault. It is two minutes walk from the market square with its restaurants and bars and 100 metres from the nearest baker. It is arranged over three floors set against a 13th century tower. It opens into a lovely sunny garden.

The Hauts-de-France region

Set between the sandy beaches of the Opal Coast and the rolling countryside of Les Sept Vallees, Montreuil is an ideal base for a family holiday or a short break in this beautiful part of France. Small enough to have preserved its medieval identity but large enough to support lively cultural and sporting activity

Montreuil

Montreuil is a fortified market town ringed by ancient walled ramparts which look out over picturesque countryside. Victor Hugo gained inspiration for the character of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables while walking round these ramparts and they still remain much as they were when he visited Montreuil.

The town has manyhotels, bars and restaurants (including a couple of Michelin starred establishments), a theatre and cinema, some specialist wine shops, cheese shops, chocolate makers, antique shops, art galleries, an auctioneer and charcutiers and patissiers to satisfy even the most avid gastronome.

“A perfect stay”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2013

La Tour is a delight. Beautifully decorated, wonderfully quiet and I would recommend it without hesitation, although because of the windy stairs it would not be good for people with mobility issues. This really is a jewel.

“Beautiful idyllic romantic French getaway - 100% brilliant highly reccomended”

Reviewed 18 Dec 2012

If you are thinking about booking this property just book it - you will have NO regrets! This beautifully designed and restored French tower was stunning and provided a wonderful space to relax and explore the local surroundings. Designed well, spacious, clean and tidy, absolutely wonderful. The garden offers plenty of privacy and the tower itself is a little piece of heaven. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

“Very nice accommodation”

Reviewed 17 Oct 2012

The owner was very helpful and friendly. The stay in the tower was a great experience. It's a quite special accommodation with a touch extravagance.

“Romantic, Stylish and Quaint”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2012

Set over 3 floors, La Tour is the perfect place to stay for a romantic get away. Beautifully decorated with modern art and sculptures. The bathroom is amazing, the biggest bath i've ever seen! The owner is very friendly and informative and speaks perfect english.
