“One of the best Gites we have stayed in.”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2015

Peace and quiet and lovely countryside. The Gite was better than the photos showed and Lindsay & Keith excellent but unobtrusive hosts. Riberac, Brantome & Bergerac within an easy drive. also two large lakes with swimming facilities and a beach. Fishing in Keith's lake was very good and the garden lovely for those who don't fish and want to sit and read. Would visit again.

“An ideal location for quite holiday with good fishing”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2014

We have just come back from spending four weeks at this GIte, we had great weather with sun every day during our stay, The cottage is in very quite location and was clean and very well equipped. I enjoy fishing and the lake provided me with an excellent opportunity for practice with my biggest fish been a 17 lb carp and lots of other fish caught during our stay Lindsey & Keith made us very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our visit, we certainly plan to visit again in the future.

“Relaxing tranquil retreat”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2014

I recently enjoyed a wonderful relaxing restful stay at les trois chenes! Our hosts Lindsay and Keith were amazing always on hand if we needed them but yet gave us our privacy! The gite is a beautiful home away from home set in a beautiful tranquil setting. I can highly recommend this gite for anyone looking for a relaxing restful time out of the rat race. We will definitely be back

“Perfect place to relax”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2014

We stayed 10 days in this very well equipped and clean gite where we felt very much at home thanks to the excellent hosts Lindsay and Keith who were always very helpful. We had a great time fishing in the lake and relaxing in the beautiful quiet garden away from it all but also managed to do some sightseeing. Thank you to Lindsay and Keith for a very enjoyable holiday.

“So Peaceful and Comfortable. Highly recommended”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2014

From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed, The owners Lindsay and Keith make you feel the place is yours even though they are only next door if you need anything. The Gite is very comfortable, perfectly clean and well equipped. The welcome pack was all local produce and most gratefully received. This is the first time I've felt inclined to write a TripAdvisor review but was so impressed with such a beautiful place and had such a nice time the owners deserved it. Their property covers about 30 acres with a fantastic fishing lake, I'm not a fisherman but I can understand why they would want to sit there all day. I'm an amateur photographer and I was in my element with the wonderful countryside and wildlife. I look forward to my next visit.

“Comfortable, quiet & well appointed gite in the middle of the countryside.”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2013

From the minute we arrived Lindsay & Keith made us feel very welcome. Their lovely gite was very well appointed and very comfortable with good quality furniture and fittings and extremely clean. Set in the middle of their large 'estate' of some 30 acres there was plenty of wildlife to see, deer, numerous birds including buzzards and other birds of prey and with a lake containing a variety of carp up to 10 kg there was plenty to do and see. With the vineyards of the St Emilion region just down the road and the well known beauty spots along the Dordogne not much further away there is something for everyone here.

“A most peaceful, special place to stay.”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2013

We arrived at the gite early in the afternoon after travelling across France for 12 hours. We were very tired but immediately the beautiful gite and the surrounding grounds relaxed us straight away. The owners Lindsay and Keith had thoughtfully left us provisions so we could have lunch and relax. Our stay in the gite was very relaxing, there was no noise at all except for birdsong. Lindsay and Keith were fantastic hosts never intrusive but always there to help and give information if needed. We stayed 6 days but really regretted not booking for longer as there was so much we did not have time to visit. I would certainly recommend this vacation rental to all our friends and family. Thanks Lindsay and Keith it was fantastic and we had a fantastic and memorable break.

“lovely”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2013

This house is exactly as it looks in the photographs. It is so nice to find a reasonably priced holiday house in France that is not furnished from Ikea or with relatives cast offs. It is perhaps the cleanest holiday house I have stayed in. It is not huge but perfectly adequate for 2 adults and 2 children. The setting is perfect and the photographs do not do the exterior justice. Just perfect. Near enough to towns but down a longish driveway in the country you come to this totally lovely cottage, attached to the owners property but private. Huge garden area, lovely patio. Amazing fishing pond where my husband caught some great fish (carp). Lindsay and Keith are lovely. I rarely bother to make friends with the neighbours on holiday but warmed to these 2 down to earth people who were just so easy to get on with. Bird watchers paradise, I wish I had packed the binoculars. I have to add here that the day we arrived in Le Pizou, whilst waiting on Keith to meet us, a flock of Storks landed on a house in the town square. I didnt take a photograph to my eternal regret! But thats the only thing I regret about my fortnight at this holiday house.

“A fantastic place to stay in every way”

Gite very well equipped and comfortable. The welcome pack was excellent as we arrived at night and it had everything we needed for the next morning. Gite was in a quiet setting but only a short drive to restaurants, supermarkets etc. Owners very friendly and helpful.
