Description

La Petite Maison is an adorable detached cottage for two situated in a semi-rural location just one mile from a stunning medieval village with waterfalls and Templar buildings.

The cottage sits in its own private garden with views over meadows and the River Vezere there is a shaded patio for alfresco dining.

We have a small plunge pool in the communal gardens for cooling off and a full size pool is available at the hotel in the village.

The cottage was originally a duck barn where the farmer's wife fed the ducks and cooked the fois gras in the massive fireplace!!
it has been beautifully restored with all modern conveniences and is fully fitted for a comfortable self-catering holiday.

The Dordogne region

Situated in the South West of France in the magical Dordogne area with its ambient climate, rolling hills and stunning medieval villages with ancient chateaux just about on every corner, La Petite Maison is the perfect spot to base a sight seeing holiday or just a really quiet peaceful time drinking wine and eating gourmet food.

Aquitaine/Dordogne

The River Vezere is just 50 yards away across our own meadow. The village is a lovely walk along the river bank or 2 minutes by car for your daily baguette. There is also a butcher, small grocery store with a tabac/cafe and an excellent restaurant. Large supermarkets are about 5 K distant.

You will enjoy a wonderful vacation exploring beautiful chateaux and castles, sampling the local gourmet delights and wine, you can visit our great street markets with their wonderful fresh produce and every weekend there is a flea market in a town nearby.
There is fantastic walking and cycling, swimming and tennis at the local chateau, canoeing and thousands of castle steps to climb!
We would love to have you visit.
