Delightful Studio sleeeps 2 people and is located on upstairs floor, of les Rosiers Lettings/B&B . Studio has a private staircase /terrace outside dining table and private entrance. Double bed, open plan with kitchenette, consisting of toaster oven, 2 ring burner, microwave, kettle, small fridge, table and 4 chairs, crockery and cutlery., cafetière. Linens towels provided. As in the B and B bedrooms, the studio also has an en-suite bathroom, slightly larger than the b&b ensuites , ie:toilet, handbasin, bathtub/shower. When staying in the studio, you have use of indoor heated swimming pool, shared with owners. Pool open from May to October. Laundry facilities available, fee may be charged. Studio, the 1 bed Apartment and Chambres d'hotes (B&B) available to rent all year round.
Les Rosiers is in Les Bories, a small working walnut farm hamlet. 2mins walk to the Vezere river.
The little village of Thonac with its well stocked shop, restaurant and bar, is 4 k away.
The charming market town of Montignac and the famous Lascaux caves are just a 5 minute drive to the north, and the pre-historic troglodyte fortress of La Roque Saint-Christophe a ten minute drive to the South.
You will be spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. The medieval town of Sarlat; Les Eyzies, home to the National Museum of Pre-History; and several of the Plus Beaux Villages de France including St Leon sur Vézère, Beynac, Castelnaud, and Domme, are within a twenty mile radius of the house.
Other wonderful attractions in the immediate area include pre-historic parks and caves; chateaux and gardens; and magnificent castles dating back to the Hundred Years War.
The many and varied activities on the doorstep include canoeing, horse-riding, walking, cycling and paragliding.
There are also many attractions such as an aquarium, a treetop adventure park and a heritage theme park. To name them all would need a book - the list is endless....!
Those looking to experience the gastronomic delights of the region will find a nearby market on every day of the week offering the very best that local producers have to offer. There are many opportunities to sample the fine foods and wine that this area is famous for.

The Dordogne region
Perigord Noir/Vezere valley- Lascaux II - 10 mins/ Montignac sur Vezere 4 mins. It is the beautiful RURAL region of windy roads, spectacular scenery, beautiful villages/towns. In season (and sometimes out of) hot sunny days, warm nights, Ice age Caves, Castles, Dordogen and Vezere rivers. Dine on foie gras, vin de noix (Walnut), huile de noix, wonderful Bergerac Wines, Truffles, duck de confit.....tarte aux pommes.
Caves/Grottes - eg: Lascaux II (10 min drive), Font de Gaume(booking essential) Domme, Proumeyssac, Roque St Christophe (10 mins)
Over 600 Chateaux in the area, Chateau de Losse (located opposite our hamlet) Beynac, Castlenaud, Des Milandes (now a tribute to Josephine Baker), Marqueyssac.
Bastides - eg:Domme (amazing views over the dordogne river) Montpazier, Limeuil.
Medieval town of Sarlat, (15 mins drive) recently restored, famous old church, bell tower, open to public. Also indoor market in the church.
Brive, Bergerac and Perigeuex larger well serviced, public transport, destination towns, all within easy driving distance. Bordeuax 1:30 - 2 hours.
Sarlat 20 mins away. Domme 30 min drive. Montignac 5 min drive
Facilities in the local area include excellent restaurants, cafes,/bars in Montignac, plus boutiques and shops that could satisfy the needs of any serious shopper. Beutiful cobbled st, village of Saint leon sur Vezere is only 5km away with more excellent choices to eat/Picnic.
Caves/Grottes - Lascaux II , 10 minute drive.
The historic town of Sarlat is 20 minutes away and Brive is approximately 25 minutes, Bordeaux 1 1/2 hours. A89 15 mins away.
Canoeing, Kayaking tennis, Hyking, Horse riding, Hot air balloon rides, golf are all in close proximity. Vezere river a two minute walk form les Rosiers. Great cycling routes for the keen.... or not so keen, cyclist. (ie: the "pop to the local shop in the morning for your baguette" cyclist:)
Famous Montignac Music festival and markets all held through the summer months. Hammam and Aqua Zen Spa 10 mins away by car.
