The water mill "Il Molinaccio", a few kilometers from the ancient city of Montepulciano, was present in the maps of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
The ruins have been restored with passion and now are ready to offer such as Casa de Campo of luxury where guests can recover their powers, taking advantage of the absolute quietness of the hacienda, the garden full of flowers and colours with their Oaks and in distance vineyard.
Completely modern in contrast is the pool, positioned where once are collected the water coming through a channel to the wheels of the millstone. Clean it with the salt, as used by the ancient Etruscans, Volterra and no chlorine. It's much healthier, no added chemicals, reduces red eyes and helps the skin, keeping your Tan. The water has a slightly salty taste.
Following the Salcheto River, inside a small forest, we made a pedestrian route to walk around and enjoy the natural wealth of this land of Tuscany, perhaps sitting on some hand-made wooden benches. We have also positioned around the river twelve 3D targets for shooting with bow, where experts and beginners can practice this noble sport, alone or with the help of a professional trainer.
But il Molinaccio is above all its 3.6 Vineyard has whose grapes are transformed into Il Golo, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, and in La Spinosa, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. If you like, you can visit our wine cellar. Our pomace is distilled in Grappa of Vino Nobile (Distilleria Nannoni) and produce a liqueur based on wild fennel, which we cultivate.
We have started the certified process of transformation in ecological vineyard and also in the same spirit treat our well water, and we have installed a photovoltaic plant that covers all the energy needs of the Molinaccio. We offer free charging for electric vehicles of our guests.
