The incredible beauty and silence by which Alentejo (the central area of Portugal, located south of the Tagus river) is known for is shown at its full potential in this property.
The somewhat traditional design and furniture will allow you to get to know the culture while being comfortable and relaxed.

Different guests will have the opportunity of enjoying the property in different ways: you can use it for you peaceful hideout and purely enjoy the house and its commodities; you can appreciate the nature and take advantage of the walking trails existent, do birdwatching (this is one of the best locations for birdwatching in the south of portugal with more than 300 bird species known in the area) and visit the close by dams and villages; you may also have different cultural options from dolmens and cave paintings (Escoural, 15 km away) to the ruins

Interaction with Guests:
On the entrance of the property there is a small house, where the owner is living. He is available for any information or help you may need and will be the one showing you around the property upon arrival, however he will not interfere in your stay without your request.
The main house is several hundred meters away so his presence will not interfere in your privacy.
Guest will have access to the entire property (900 m2) including the house, gardens, barbecue and swimming pool.

Montemor-o-Novo

The house is situated in a rural area with several very typical villages around, the one to which it belongs being Sao Cristovao. Some of these have ancient cave paintings and dolmens. There are several towns with cultural and social interest namely Montemor-o-Novo (20 mins), Alcácer do Sal (25 mins) and Evora (50 mins).
Nearest beach is Comporta at only 45 mins by car.
