Our private Villa with pool (13x6) has a breathtaking renaissance panorama overlooking the entire Tiber River Valley! You will be on 3000sqm of green lawn suspended some +350meters above sea level with our "skyline" - delineated by the distant Cimino and Montefiascone Mountains in Lazio, the Amiato Mountain in Tuscany and our north side by the historical Castello di Poggio di Guardea. Many guests enjoy just relaxing in our hammock which hangs between a secular almond and an old mulberry tree.. or beside the pool surrounded by olives, lavander, roses, apricot, peach and pear trees..or preparing their own meals and dining outside under the shade of the secular elm, surrounded by the rose garden with jasmine, rosemary, sage, thyme, myrtle..and the panorama. You can even walk to nearby Guardea for your groceries on the ancient gravel road lined by Etruscan and old "grotte" (caves) to your left while on your right lies..the panorama. Sometimes we can convince our guests to take advantage of our strategic location, being near the meeting point of Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany which offer many day trips for every interests; architecture, medieval towns, papal villas, historical parks, monuments, Orvieto, Rome, Perugia, Florence, museums, Etruscans, art, archeology, not to mention the nature; hiking, bicycling, equestrian walks, even rafting at the Cascate delle Marmore. Umbria is also about "norcineria", truffles, chocolate, wild boar..... and here you are in DOP extra virgin olive oil country therefore you are surrounded by olive trees which are surrounded by the typical umbrian "macchia mediterranea" which will soon take on its' spectacular colours just in time for our olive harvest which some guests have even participated! You may watch the olive oil making process at the frantoio (mill) and enjoy tasting it on a hot "bruschetta". To help us ring in the new year there'll be the famous Orvieto Jazz Festival!

The Umbria region
Umbria, considered the "Green Heart of Italy", is about nature, history, culture, breathtaking views, medieval towns, healthy living, eating well, and "unsavage" tourism. You will be immersed in its' nature while travelling between medieval villages, cities of art, or discovering some of the unique eight regional parks. The regional cuisine is fresh and not elaborate and a must, inticements: tartufo, extra virgin olive oil, salumi di Norcia, porchetta (arrosta con finocchio), pappardelle al cinghiale, zuppa di lenticchie, fichi girotti....
Our Casale lies in the northwest corner of Umbria, meeting point with Tuscany and Lazio, an excellent location for cultural, architectural, archeological, natural history or culinary/wine itineraries...
Here you can enjoy the diversity of the three adjoining regions for numerous day trips, here are just a few:
Umbria: Orvieto (20 min.), Todi (30 min), Assisi (50 min), Deruta (45 min), Perugia (60 min) Montefalco (70 min), Gubbio,...
Lazio: Rome (45 min), Bomarzo (30), Bagnoregio, Viterbo with it's Terme, Capranica, Villa d'Este, Valley of Papal Villas..
