Owner's reply: Thank you for your review, I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you will look to return. I'm sorry that the window in the 3rd bedroom would not close, it is fastened for security, but will ensure that for stays in the future at this time of year that it is closed. I look forward to welcoming you back - Angela

“Home away from Home”

We stayed at Casa Bonita for 10 days with 2 children. The booking was really easy and every one were very nice and easy to speak to. The property was beautiful a home away from home. I do recommend having a car tho as its quite far from beaches and other towns. Me and my family had a great stay and would stay again.

Owner's reply: Thank you Kerry, it was a pleasure to have you stay at the property. I look forward to welcoming you back again.

“Fantastic place!”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2013

Spent a week in this lovely villa with a friend and have to say it's absolutely wonderful. Easy to get to and from to nearby places. The area is so peaceful and the people so friendly. It's out the way from all the noisy tourists and party-goers and is perfect for relaxation. The prices are also extremely worth it. We ventured about into the nearby Alicante, Benidorm and Santa Pola using a hire car (RecordGo are highly recommended) and even travelled to Madrid on one of the days. It was lovely coming back to something that felt like a home away from home. In the area itself are obviously other villas but a small bakery and a pool with bar and football court. The closest supermarket is a small one but has your daily essentials (bread, milk, water, wine :) ) as well as other things and is a couple minutes drive or a nice walk. You can either take the small country road or nip onto the M31 which both come to the same place. Or take the M31 to Santa Pola for the bigger supermarkets (Lidl, SuperValu). Ang has a handy booklet in the villa pointing out places of interests as well as directions and there's a few maps too. We found this extremely helpful. Lovely views from the roof terrace especially during a thunderstorm we had. The only downfall was that we weren't staying longer. Anyone looking at this villa, get it. You won't be disappointed.

Owner's reply: I'm so pleased that you had a wonderful time and look forward to welcoming you back soon :)

“Great house at a great price”

We (2 adults and 3 kids) spent 7 nights at Casa Bonita. The booking process was straight forward and the owner's communication has been excellent throughout. The security deposit was returned promptly on our return home. The local caretakers spoke English, arrived quickly with the key and were friendly. On arrival at the property our initial impression was that the photos do not do it justice. The property appeared relatively new with tiled floors and marble staircases throughout. It is over 3 levels plus a roof terrace and was in excellent condition and clean. The twin bedroom is in the basement but this was by far the coolest part of the house. There was a large fridge and washing machine (a bonus when traveling with kids as no mound of washing to bring home!). The house was very secure. There were many little touches that made it a home away from home - lots of DVDs, books, picnic bag (cool blocks also in freezer), sewing kit, spare batteries, hairdryer etc etc. There were some inflatable toys that the kids borrowed for the beach and even an exercise bike! The neighborhood was quiet and we had no trouble parking near the property (roadside parking). There were no shops within walking distance so I would say a car is essential for a stay here. We hired a car from the airport (excellent service from Record Go) and the driving instructions provided by the owner were clear and easy to follow. There are large supermarkets within 15 mins drive (we went to Petrer for this) and the location gives excellent access to the main routes to Alicante and Benidorm. We also traveled to Santa Pola where there was a nice beach with clear, warm water (Urbanova is closer but the water had lots of seaweed in). Overall, the really good bits were: - Lovely clean, well equipped house - Excellent value for money - Well positioned (as long as you have a car) - The owner could not have been more helpful There weren't any really bad bits as the house and service exceeded out expectations. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to help arrange your holiday and I'm so delighted that you had such great holiday. It would also be a pleasure to welcome you back to Casa Bonita :)

“Great holiday in a lovely house”

We had a great stay at Casa Bonita - really felt like a home from home -a very comfortable house with everything we needed for our family 10 day stay. The house was in good order and clean and we had good communication from both the owner and those who welcolmed us there - thank you! Thank you too for the extra provision of a stair gate to stop the kids wandering - really appreciated. :)

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments I look forward to welcoming you back to Casa Bonita in the future :)

“Great family home well equipped a real home from home !!!!”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2012

We would like to thank the owners for the great time we had staying at villa Casa Bonita, it was very well equipped and provided all that we needed for days out , picnics etc it was central to all our needs -a real home from home! The urbanisation has a great community pool ( closed on a Monday and for siesta time, a small weekly cost of around 25 euro for a family of 5 or 3 euro each per day) there is a bar where you can buy tapas, burgers, chips etc. The staff at the pool and bar are very friendly and helpful. The nearest village is about 5 minutes drive away where you can buy daily essentials or eat out ( mostly Spanish fare ) . Alicante, Gran Alicant, Murcia are about 15 minutes drive away ( the owners information pack is brilliant and will keep you right about directions, places of interest, supermarkets and where to eat out. The Villa is central to the surrounding area , Benidorm in the north (25 minutes) with the theme parks, the salt lakes south and Alicante etc east . The Urbanisation is slightly secluded so a car is essential for this villa unless you just want to hang out at the pool or play golf at the nearest golf course 20 minutes walk/5minutes drive This is our 3rd time in 4 years staying in a private villa our first at Casa Bonita and i have to say this has been the best, friendly and most efficient service we have had, from first contact with the owners(e-mail and telephone) to meeting their rep for the key hand over at the villa.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely comments it was a pleasure to help arrange your family holiday and am so glad that you had such a great time. I look forward to welcoming you back to Casa Bonita in the future:)

“Great hoilday, perfect base for exploring the area.”

Went away for a weeks climbing holiday Jan 2012, the house was perfect for the 5 of us to explore all of the different climbing spots around Alicante as well as some more areas all over the Costa Blanca. Great communication with Angela the owner, she was very helpful at all times. Good that the property wasn't in a big city so it made getting around quick and easy, with the autovia only being 5 mins away.

Owner's reply: I'm glad that you all had a great time, it was a pleasure to arrange the booking with you. I'm sorry that you had a couple of electricity cut-outs, a situation we can get in the winter when all the heaters and other electrical appliances are on, all part of the adventure ;) I look forward to welcoming you back to Casa Bonita in the future :)

“A great family holiday destination”

Reviewed 28 Sep 2011

We really enjoyed our stay in this location. It's in a nice quiet village away from the main tourist areas. I had a bit of trouble finding it though and got there very late. You really need a car as it is a little out of the way. The community bar and pool are great if you don't feel like venturing far and the roof terrace is great for sunbathing. We found we were fairly central for most of the tourist attractions and even managed two day trips to Benidorm and a fantastic snorkelling excursion to Tabarca Island. Alicante is just a stones throw away, once you get used to the roads. I wasn't very good with directions! The house had great facilities including a washing machine , two bathrooms and pleanty of bedroom and cupboard space which is great for a family. The kitchen space is a little small if you are catering for a family but we managed OK, as we couldn't afford to eat out that often. I thought the provision of a cold bag for picnics was a great additional touch as we used this for most of our excursions. The children also enjoyed playing chess and we watched some DVDs and TV. A real home from home. Thanks also to Nick and Sue who rescued me very late at night, helped me sort out my mobile phone and showed me where the local supermarket was. So good, we have already booked again for next year.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review I'm so pleased you and your family had such a great time. Thank you also for your booking for next year, I'm looking forward to welcoming you all back :-)

“A perfect get-away break - and a bargain to boot”

Myself and four friends stayed at this lovely well equipped town house for 8 nights in early September this year. We were lucky enough to stay during a heatwave but I understand good weather is quite common at this time of year. The house felt spacious and roomy enough for the 5 people with plenty of room on the roof terrace and in the enclosed front area for sunbathing, relaxing in the shade or sharing a beer. We didn't do any cooking as there are so many restaurants to try in Alicante but it looked equipped enough should you want to. A car is necessary for a stay in the urbanisation as there is no shop on site. The airport is 20 mins drive, Alicante 15 mins and our favourite beach Arenales del Sol 25 mins. We loved this beach as it has clean deep sand, a great beach bar and lots of waves for swimming. Alicante is very beautiful with lovely shops, promenade, marina and old town to explore. The owner is lovely, booking was easy - we spoke on the phone and exchanged plenty of emails. The caretakers who live close by are friendly and very helpful. We met quite a few locals at the bar on the urbanisation too who were all very friendly and welcoming. All the neighbours like to say hello as do the many local pet dogs (from behind their gates). I recommend the local golf club for amazing Tapas lunch at a very good price with a smashing view.

Owner's reply: Thank you I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. I look forward to welcoming you back in the future :)

“Excellent property, well equipped, pleasant decor, good location.”

Casa Bonita, is a lovely Spanish style town house just 15min north of Alicante, located in lovely mountains, however very easy to access all roads around the Alicante area, close to Eliche, Montford Del Cid, Alicante City's beautiful waterfront & old town, Urbanova Beach, Santa Pola, and Guardamar Beach. Great range of Hypermarkets 15 mins away. Alenda Golf course 5 mins, beautiful terrace to enjoy views, food etc., 5 mins stroll within the urbanization there is a Bar, open till 11pm and well maintained pool open Noon till 8pm. The urbanization is peaceful and quiet. The owners were so very nice & helpful with emails of things to to etc., before we left, and their meet & greet couple were very helpful & friendly too. I have no hesitation in recommending Casa Bonita its a lovely house in a lovely location.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to talk to you and I loved hearing about your stay by email when you returned. I look forward to welcoming you back in the future :-)
