MONTCHAVIN is part of LA PLAGNE and in the centre of the PARADISKI ski area with 425km pistes. Perfect for beginners and experts alike and anyone else in between. Beautiful nursery slopes, long cruisy blues and extensive off piste opportunities makes Montchavin an excellent choice for your ski holiday.

Montchavin village has everything you will need - A supermarket, bread shop, butchers, a good selection of restaurants and bars, ski shops, ski hire and excellent fast ski lift access to the rest of LA PLAGNE and PARADISKI beyond right on your doorstep.

Completely private and self contained 2 & 4 bedroom, modern chalet apartments with undercover Hot Tub Sauna, private ski lockers, separate boot room and free wifi. Part of a private chalet both with their own front door. Overlooking the traditional village of Montchavin with stunning views. 10 minute walk from the centre of the village and all amenities.

Part of the La Plagne/Paradiski ski area and less than a minute from the piste! - perfect location....

It has spectacular views towards the Vanoise National Park and the forest behind.

APARTMENT SUMMARY

• Vaulted ceiling with beams above in the open plan living area.

• Open plan living area with sofa, extendable dining table and modern well equipped kitchen (hob, oven, full size sink, whirlpool dishwasher, cupboards and storage) Glass entrance door with thick thermal door curtain to keep the apartment cosy in the evenings, but providing lots of sunlight for the daytime.

• Huge storage cupboard for those bulky ski clothes and plenty of hanging space (designed to be out of the way of the living space)

• Triple bedroom with double bed, full adult size single bed, shelved storage, reading lights and a south facing window.

• Twin bedroom with full adult size single beds, hanging storage and shelving, reading lights and a south facing window.

• Separate walk in wet room shower with digital shower and basin leading off the living area – convenient for all the guests to use

• Separate toilet with basin

• The floors are tiled with travertine floor tiles and rugs, the walls are trimmed with a solid oak panelling and quality lighting throughout.

• Lockable ski locker on the ground floor and private area in the bootroom (ground floor also for convenience) for ski boots and board boots.

• This apartment is two floors away from our other rental apartment therefore very little chance of noise transfer between the two, providing truly private accommodation for our guests who would like something a little different to an apartment in a large apartment block.

Our Chalet

Chalet Miravidi is a private detached chalet in a tranquil location overlooking the traditional farming village of Montchavin with spectacular panoramic views of Mont Blanc in the distance. The chalet consists of just three large apartments, Mont Blanc, Bellecote and our own apartment. We live on site and are therefore available for any queries throughout your stay. Our two rental apartments are completely private and self-contained and occupy different floors of the chalet. Our Chalet is perfect for guests who prefer quality spacious self-catering accommodation and don’t like the feel of large complex style apartments blocks. We have spent the last 6 years fully renovating the chalet and we like to think we have thought of everything possible that will make your stay with us as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible. The chalet is located just 40 metres from the blue piste that leads directly to the first lift of the day and for the majority of the season you can ski to and from your door. The chalet has its own traditional coals sauna and undercover hot tub for the adults to relax in. These are shared between our two apartments, however if you want private use of the hot tub and sauna we operate a very popular ‘reservation’ system where you can ‘reserve’ an hour at a time to have it all to yourselves.

The chalet has free ample roadside parking close by.

Our Village

Montchavin is a traditional authentic Savoyard farming village that has all the shops, restaurants and bars that you could need but it still maintains its quiet 'away from it all' appeal not found in other La Plagne purpose built resorts. There are several restaurants to cater for all tastes and budgets, some bars, sometimes with live music, ski equipment shops and gift shops to potter around. However no night clubs I'm afraid (!)

The village is only open for the ski season from Mid December through to mid/late April and then for July and August.

“Lovely appartment, easy access to the slopes.”

This is our second visit to the Bellecote Apartment in Chalet Miravidi and after a recent refurb we were not disappointed. The chalet has been tastefully redecorated and the layout reappointed to offer cosy and comfortable accommodation. Access to the slopes is a short walk through the garden to the blue run down to Montchavin, from where you have access to both La Plagne and Les Arcs ski areas. Karen is on hand to help you settle in and offer advice through her local knowledge. The sauna and hot tub provide welcome relief after a hard day on the slopes. These are shared with the larger apartment within the chalet but a simple booking system ensures everyone has what they need. The chalet is quite a walk from the village so you do need to be organised if you are eating in. We found it useful to stop off at the neighbouring resort of Les Coches on the last ski run back to get provisions for the evening meal. All in all a brilliant weeks skiing and a great place to stay.

- Instructions and welcome very well prepared - Very friendly hosts, responsive, service-minded and available - The chalet is almost at the blue slope, avoiding any hassle with skis - Cosy chalet, perfect for 2 adults and 2 teenagers - Montchavin / Les Coches are small mountain villages - all necessary services are available there - What we liked most : the chalet's lay-out with dining area and salon; the hot tub and sauna; the opportunity to organize arrival meal, ski passes and equipment upfront - What can be improved : WIFI signal, CD/IPOD player
