Location description from owner

The Tuscany region

Montaione is a medieval town situated to the far west of the province of Florence, on the border of Pisa, offering one of the most suggestive panoramas in Tuscany. Is positioned on a hill 350m above sea level. It’s located in the middle of Tuscany, near the most beautiful art cities like Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra..

Here every season offers you a new perspective on the fabulous landscapes of the Tuscan countryside and affords the opportunity to experience it to the fullest along with all the very best of the Tuscan culture and local Tuscan cuisine.

The surrounding countryside is rich in chianti vineyards, as well as the olive groves that produce a lusciously fruity Extra Vergine Olive Oil.

Montaione

Montaione sits on the top of a hill in the heart of the Tuscany countryside surrounded by the typical landscape of the Elsa Valley, characterized by Chianti vineyards, olive trees and rows of cypresses.

This ideal location is just a short train ride from the most important cities of Tuscany, such as Florence, Siena, Lucca and Pisa, which are only about an hour away. San Gimignano and Volterra can be reached within a 20 to 30 minute drive.

“A little bit of Heaven”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2014

We went to Tuscany to attend my nieces wedding the last week in May. Myself and my family decided to book a villa instead of a hotel, the best decision ever!!!! we stayed for a week in this beautiful villa and we had the most lovliest time. The villa had everything that you could wish for ; lovely friendly owners who met us in the local town and took us direct to the door and welcomed us. Federica who owned the villa came to see us the next morning to make sure everything was ok and took the time to book a resturant for us and also a hairdressers appointment mid week, so that we could look glam for the wedding we were attending in Certaldo. The weather was a litte mixed but Federica and her family had left logs for us to burn on the massive open fire at night time if we needed it. In the week we were there, although we didnt get to use the pool everyday because of our scheldule, the pool and the surroundng beautiful gardens were attended to every other day. We could not find fault with the villa, the grounds and especially the family. We hope to be able to return again at some stage. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a little bit of paradise and relaxation!!!

Hello!! Thank you very very much for this review. We really appreciated it. Hope to see you and your family again. ciao! Federica :)
