“Great Location and Fantastic Host!”

Reviewed 27 Sep 2015

My wife and I travelled with another couple and this location was perfect. A two bedroom cottage each with attached private bath. Originally constructed in 1790! Gorgeous property. Cottage was very clean and private. The modern renovations do nothing to distract from the properties rich history. Our Host Jacquie and her husband Jimmy were wonderful. They could not have been more helpful. Jacquie's advice on locations to visit resulted in some of our best memories. Our bedroom actually had a view of Mt. St. Michele!!

“Excellent”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2015

A brilliant place to stay and our hosts Jim and Jacqi were great. The sheep being herded past twice a day was a pleasure to watch. Breakfast was brilliant with a fantastic array of fresh fruit and the Mushroom/Cheese crepes were gorgeous. Slept like a log every night, it was very relaxing. Loved every minute.

Thank you, your very welcome anytime, you were both a pleasure to host,

“Good position”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2015

The property is situated in a good place, only 5 Km from the point where there are the big parking and the shuttles to Saint Michel. The garden and the space outside is not well kept. The room is comfortable but you can hear every noise from the other room. The bathroom is alright. The breakfast is standard: you see the owners when you arrive and when you go away so if you need informations or something else better to ask immediately. The good point is the position.

Hello, just to address some of your points, We are 3 km to the parking lots, it had rained solid for the week prior to your arrival, and even we do not cut the grass in the rain!our garden is a working garden as we grow most of our own food, breakfast is continental, pastries fresh fruit, cerial youghurts toast, ham or cheese,a variety of hot drinks, apple and orange juice,as most guests go out for the day, after breakfast service, we do not see them again until evening, and we are around if help, or advice is needed, as the reviews befor yours state! Bed and breakfast or chambre d,hote, is a room in someones house, perhaps you would be better suited in a self contained private unit, just to add, the furnishings in your room, are solid pine, under 6 months old!

“Perfect Stay”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2015

We rented both rooms set up as twins. The rooms were spacious, clean with beautiful views. Downstairs we had a good size sitting room and a full kitchen. Jacquie and Jim were incredible hosts. They cooked us a lovely evening meal, and went above and beyond to accommodate the special dietary needs of one of my friends. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location of the B&B is ideal, and we left wishing we'd planned to spend more time with Jacquie and Jim. We will be back one day for a longer stay!

“Wonderful place and Jim and Jacque were great hosts.”

Reviewed 9 May 2015

We had a short but very enjoyable stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with Jim and Jacque and seeing their beautiful home and the large flock of sheep that walk down the street two times a day!

“Would immediatly come again !”

After a lot of hours surching for a place to stay, we found Jacquelines cosy house ! Although it was rather late in the evening, Jacqueline made us feel at home right away ! She's very kind, warm and friendly, amused us with a few stories of her life, the bedroom was cosy, nice and tidy, the living room and garden charming. Breakfast, including fresh fruit from her own garden, was delicious and served from the heart. We were lucky the other guests were sympathic so we had some amusing conversations during breakfast. I would definitly recommand "le maison du montitier" for a very relaxing stay !! Our best regards to dear Jacqueline ! Maria and Lore, Belgium

“Perfect view and location”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2014

See Mont St. Michel from your window! Sheep traveling across the road in front of the house morning and evening. The house had two apartments upstairs, private bath. Down stairs is a very nice living, dining room and kitchen. Breakfast appeared in the morning and was wonderful with home made jams. The hostess was delightful, warm, informative, charming and just a wonderful person and inn keeper. Not far from restaurants end entrance to the Mont St Michel !

“quaint and friendly”

Reviewed 29 Sep 2014

one of the most friendly innkeepers I have ever met! Jacquie was marvelous, helpful and truly lovely. her little country house is just fine....a gathering space, nice kitchen and two upstairs bedrooms. she even stocked the fridge with drinks, including wine and beer! her breakfast was delicious and more than enough to eat. Jacquie gave us valuable information on Mont St Michel and the surrounding area. she even told us about a German cemetery we were unaware of. her restaurant suggestions were superb. I would highly recommend Jacquie's little house. the only, only suggestion I would have is to perhaps upgrade the beds. they were quite firm for our taste....a bit uncomfortable. otherwise, we had a great time. the price is great, and again, Jacquie is a fantastic host!

“Delightful!”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2014

I stayed for one night, during a tour of Normandy and Brittany. The accommodations were superb, quiet and charming. The beds were comfortable and the en suite bathroom was large and included a tub (though I didn't use it). Better than the accommodations was Jacqueline. She gave us a wonderful welcome! She is very friendly, humorous and full of great advice for sightseeing. I highly recommend!

“Very enjoyable stay”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2014

We had an enjoyable stay, with lots of advice on local affairs from landlady. Accommodation clean and comfortable within easy distance from the bus stop for Saint Sam Michel.
