“Faultless”

If you are looking at this review I'll have a guess that you are looking to book somewhere - look no further and get it booked! Mark and Sarah have done a tremendous job and we had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. The cottage is perfectly set up to hideaway for however long you wish. The local village of Moniaive has all amenities that you could wish for also including a top notch Italian, a friendly local store and a busy pub. We cannot praise this place highly enough...

Owner's reply: Thanks Neil. Sounds like you enjoyed your stay. Always welcome.

“Best night stay on a romantic night”

The wee gleb cottage is a gem of place!! Great standard and the hot tub was fantastic with the stars at night.

Owner's reply: Wee Glebe was a great place to pop the question. We are so pleased it worked out for you both. Mark and Sarah

“What a fabulous place to hide”

Fabulous accommodation, very well done with lots of lovely, homely, finishing touches. We packed up our weekend and escaped our very busy lives for 2 days of relaxation. The hot tub was a very welcome luxury (even in the rain). The views were lovely and the night sky is like nothing I have seen before.

Owner's reply: We are so pleased you enjoyed Wee Glebe and had a relaxing stay away from the demands of your busy lives. Hopefully we will meet again soon.

“Amazing place for romantic break...”

We arrived a little bit early but we got accommodated straight away. Our host was very welcomeing and helpfull. The 'Wee Glabe' is great place and the atmosphare of it is unique. Everything in the cottage is new, modern and styleish. Amazing place I will highly recommend it to everybody. We went there to celebrate our aneversery and we couldn't choose better! Hot Tub Fabuluse thing... I am sure that we will visit that place again in the future.

Owner's reply: It was a pleasure to welcome our first guests from Poland, also a wonderful place to go and stay. Hope you both return for many more anniversaries.

We had a fantastic weekend at Mark and Sarah’s place. We made the most of the great weather in the hot tub which has an amazing view (and has also been revamped from what I can tell from the current photos) across the rolling hills and church. Even great in the evening, especially on a clear night – I think we saw about a dozen shooting stars! The property itself had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen and even underfloor heating in the bathroom. A taxi into the nearby Moniaivie was only £5 where we had a a really nice dinner at the local Italian restaurant. Privacy wasn’t an issue as the house and garden are very secluded and peaceful. Mark was quick to help with any questions we had but otherwise left us to it which was perfect. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxury Scottish retreat.

Owner's reply: WOW,six shooting stars that will take some beating! Thanks for the great review, much appreciated. Maybe we will meet again next year?

“Brilliant wee getaway”

We spent a weekend at the Wee Glebe and absolutely loved our stay. It's beautifully done up with lots of little touches such as Netflix, log burner, complimentary bottle of Prosecco,BBQ and hot tub that make it really special. Mark and Sarah were so helpful and were more than happy to organise a restaurant booking and taxis for us on the Friday night. So peaceful and secluded,we will definitely recommend to our family and friends and hope to be back someday ourselves.

“Ok fellas listen up im about to become your best friend!!”

Guys, they may act fickle but women are simple souls, a little bit of luxury you've planned, a break from the humdrum of daily life and you can easily rack those brownie points up, BUT!, want to get them points to stratospheric levels? Wee Glebe in Moniaive is the answer. I've never been compelled to write a review before and we have stayed in a few up and down the country but this hidden gem set into the hills of Scotland was a pleasure from beginning to end and it would be a travesty not to share. This was a surprise for my girlfriends birthday, i'd booked it months in advance and had a few request's i wanted and Sarah (the owner) was more than accommodating, from booking us a table in the local Piccola Italia and securing 20% of the food bill ( incidentally the restaurant is superb too, we had 3 course meal each, copious drinks all for under £70) to staying in for 3 hours to except a flower delivery on my behalf and arranging them in the accommodation, nothing was too much trouble and my emails where always replied to straight away. Wee Glebe itself is a 5* converted stable with any amenity you'd need, sumptuous decor throughout, nice touches like the under floor heating in the bathroom and its main selling points for me the Hot Tub and the open fire burner. Ok, we got lucky, after a 3 hour drive n the rain the sun decided to shine when we arrived and before id unpacked the suitcase the GF was in the hot tub, champagne in hand and refused to budge for 3 hours, secluded in the hills with a few sheep for company with breathtaking scenery we both agreed if we could stop time there and then we would it was perfect. I did prise her out a little wrinkly for our meal after which when we got back the Open Fire came into its own, logs burning away, more champagne watching the HD SMART TV till early hours when the lure of the hot tub took over again, sipping plonk under the stars in the dead of night in a hot tub has a magic you need to experience and this is the ideal location to do it. Would i go again? most definitely, Will i go again? you becha, so guys you have no excuses, book it and see for yourself, you cant fail to be impressed and just think of the nights out them brownie points would get you ;-) ...

“Wee Glebe is a 'wee gem' and we could not recommend this property more highly - it is perfect!”

Reviewed 30 May 2015

‘Wee Glebe’ is a ‘wee gem’ We have seen the whole project from start to completion and are so impressed. All the hard work put in to the structure and room design along with the beautiful finishing touches make it absolutely perfect. The owners should be rightly very proud of what they have achieved. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the valley with a cold beer or glass of bubbly in our hands could not have been more idyllic. And knowing that when you finally drag yourselves indoors you have the luxury of a lovely warm bathroom floor and log burner to make you all toastie – heaven! Staying anywhere else will be a total disappointment. Thank you for a wonderful stay – we loved it and will recommend it to everyone. We will be back as soon as possible.
