Note: We are happy to announce a successful rescue of all passengers & crew from The Viking Sky Cruise Ship. The ship was brought safely to port in Molde March 23, 2019.

ABOUT:

This amazing home is located in the very most popular tourist area! The house sets in a pristine & private setting close to hiking trails overlooking Norway's spectacular west coast. Incredible views of Molde Archipelago and Molde Panorama color this spectacular canvas in a way you are certain never to forget.

Immerse yourself into Norwegian culture, activities and lifestyle by living in this "home away from home" and friendly Norwegian town. Molde is neither too big nor too small -- it's perfect!

"Hygge" is the Norwegian word for "coziness" and this home hosts "hygge" in every glance. This warm and special home is perfect for 6 persons but can host up to 8. The home has been recently updated providing an open, spacious feel. The living areas host AMAZING views of Molde Fjord, the harbor, islands and mountain range with over 122 peaks. It is truly a breath taking landscape, which guests will see immediately upon arrival and embrace every day.

Molde is a very popular tourist destination close to The Atlantic Road, Geirangerfjord and many other popular tourist sites. There are too-many-to mention daily adventures close by and a cozy, warm place to reside at days end. Of course, we will provide you a list of our favorites...and a few only the locals know about. After all, you are now one of us. :)

Do not forget to spend time in Molde! It is the klipp fish (salted cod) capital of the world. You are welcome to try making the "once humble, now gourmet" dish (baccalo) using klipp fish and our "secret family recipe"... or simply walk to the fish market and pick it up already made and ready to eat. Their fish soup is delicious also!

There is a protected area just behind the house called Varden. It is a hilly woodland area with an extensive network of paths, walking trails, lakes and ski tracks. Forest roads enter this magical place from several directions. Bulletin boards and maps provide information regarding local plants and wildlife, as well as signposts along the trails. From Varden is a spectacular vista of the fjord, Molde archipelago and Molde panorama.

GETTING HERE:

Molde hosts an International airport (MOL). Molde is an easy, affordable 1 hour flight from Oslo/Gardermoen. Once arriving in Molde, your adventure begins immediately since the house is just a short drive or taxi ride from the airport.

Hurtigruten is Norway's famous ships that meander along the west coast from Bergen to Northern Norway. Hurtigruten calls on Molde 2X daily. Guests may board the ship in Molde and be part of this historic journey. Make sure to add Molde to your port-of-call and join us for a few nights before continuing your "Norway in a Nutshell" tour!

JAZZ FESTIVAL:

Molde jazz festival is a popular event attracting many people from all over the world. It is held annually in Molde. This year the festival is July 15-19 so make your reservations soon.

CONCULSION:

No matter the reason for visiting our lovely "City of Roses", we believe your heart will be fuller and life richer as a result. And...perhaps you will even feel a little more Norwegian? We hope so!

Note: Guests will enjoy the entire upper level of the house with private entry, terrace & gardens. We have a long-term renter/friend living in the lower level. He is quiet and respectful of guests and can provide assistance, if needed.

How do damage deposits work?
