“Great stay Homely cottage in Great central location”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2016

Just returned today from a great 3 day stay at Aldersyde cottage Moffat with my family a group of 5 adults. The was cottage itself is very spacious with good sized bedrooms and everything you need to make you feel at home. The location was perfect as everything is on your doorstep which was super for us as we where travelling with my Mother who has limited mobility and cannot walk to far which we did not have to here as everything was next to us, restaurants, bars shops etc and lots of benches in the village if she needed to take a little break and sit for a minute. This cottage would also be great for young families with kids as there is lovely parks and nature walks and the cottage is homely and lived in feeling not full of ornaments and things that you would be worrying about the kids touching or breaking, a place where you can relax after a day out :-). The booking was straight forward with no problems, the owner Bob emailed us directions and gave us the contact details of Claire the housekeeper who met us at the cottage and showed us around. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Bob just before we left the cottage, he came to check out if the internet was working which has recently been installed. A lovely man. I will definitely recommend this accommodation to family and friends.
