This modern bungalow is a home from home with easy access, and within just a few minutes walk to the centre of the quaint fishing village of Moelfre with its beautiful shingle beach. Only a few miles drive from Benllech and Red Wharf Bay with its glorious sandy beach. Lligwy beach is another vast sandy beach only a couple of miles in the other direction.The bungalow is located in a cul de sac of just 3 properties, ideal for couples and families of all ages, and provides off road parking.

A great retreat from which to explore the sites and attractions of the island by car or join the coastal path just minutes away for a bracing stroll. With a convenience store just across the road, The Kinmel Arms (family-friendly pub serving food), Coastal Cafe (great fish & chips!), Beach Cafe, Siwgwr Lwmp, Anne's Pantry and Twn Pen Stryd Gift Shop within a few minutes walk around Moelfre Bay, and The Sea Watch Centre and Lifeboat Station just a little further.

We are child friendly, with a trampoline and a range of indoor games such as chess, dominoes, Connect 4, Monopoly, Scrabble, playing cards etc. The rear patio garden provides a secluded and relaxing space and is not directly overlooked.

With flexible sleeping accommodation, we offer the Master bedroom with Kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, a twin bed room to the rear of the property and a Triple Sleeper (double bed with single above), which could even accommodate our travel cot if required.

All linen and towels are included in the rental price, along with all electricity and gas.

There is free wifi at the property for guests use.

The property is strictly no smoking indoors.

We welcome well behaved pets only, for a small charge (pets not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture).

For 1 week stays the arrival day would generally be a Saturday, however subject to dates and availability Friday to Friday can be arranged. We also offer weekend breaks, Friday to Monday and midweek breaks, Monday to Friday. (min 3 night stay)

1 well behaved dog is welcome for a small charge. All dogs must be kept off furniture and bedding.

The canopied entrance to the property takes you into the main hallway, from which all the other rooms branch off. There is a spacious yet cosy lounge with comfortable seating for 7 guests, with 40" large screen TV, Freeview channels and DVD player. Free wifi / broadband available. The dining room off the lounge, has leather high back chairs at a solid oak table. A highchair is also provided.
The modern well equipped kitchen offers double oven, grill, microwave, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, large fridge freezer and washer/dryer. The retro serving hatch opens to the dining room.
The family bathroom provides bath with shower over, as well as ensuite shower room to the main bedroom. Bedrooms 1 & 3 are overlooking the front of the property, with bedroom 2 at the rear.
All bed linen and cotton towels are provided and are included in the rental price, as is gas and electricity.

The property is one of three within the cul de sac Swn yr Afon, with garden to all sides. The ramp path leads from the driveway to the front door, for easy access. Parking comfortably for 2 cars (1 on driveway & 1 to front of house). The rear garden offers a patio area (refurbished November 2014) and is securely fenced, great for sitting out on warm evening or eating al fresco (a charcoal barbecue is provided - bring your own charcoal and fire lighters). Leaving plenty of room for the children to play (a large trampoline is in the rear garden)

Getting around

All amenities are within walking distance from the property. Guests will not need to use their car to get to the local shop, pub, cafe, etc as they are all within a very short walk as is Moelfre bay.

If guests would like to contact me prior to or during their stay to ask questions that is fine, although i have provided an information pack at the property which covers everything from "how to use the heating controls", to "places to eat in the local area". House rules

Although we are a detached property, we ask all guests to respect our neighbours by keeping the noise levels down when it gets late. We have space for 2 cars, one can be parked in front of the garage but if you have a 2nd car please park it sensibly in the road outside the front door and there will be plenty of room.

A fabulous property serving not only our family but also our furry friends brilliantly. Very spacious, well kept property within close access to a number of beaches both on foot and by car A quiet place with just enough amenities to get you through your stay Will definitely book again!!

fantastic short break @ Stepping Stones in Moelfre, property is warm, homely with everything you need for a relaxing break. Location was great only 5 minutes walk to the sea, great sea walks & a really nice pub! communication was great an a nice surprise on arrival :)- thank you Simon will definably return in the future! We had a lovely four night stay early January. The bungalow is very clean, spacious and well equipped. The garden was fully enclosed and great for the dog and would be lovely to sit out in warmer months. Moelfre is a good base for touring Anglesey and the bungalow was a great place to return to at the end of the day. A welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch from the owner. We would definitely stay here again.

“Christmas break”

Enjoyed our festive break. Ideal place for 7 people and a dog. All the facilities you could need to cook a full Christmas dinner and a great location for the village and coastal walks. Special mention to Simon for the excellent festive hamper of local produce, much appreciated.

We wanted to stay in Meolfre as it was my mothers 80th birthday and we used to holiday here almost 40 years ago. The bungalow was perfect for us, very accessible, clean and well presented. We had a party just down the road at the Kinmel Arms and they were absolutely fantastic, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and fantastic food - they even supplied a birthday cake! We would definitley come back to Stepping Stones again and Simon was the perfect host, thank you for a wonderful weekend

Our third visit and will book for a fourth. Visited Cemlyn Bay and lagoon - well worth a visit. Moelfre is a wonderful place to stay and Stepping Stones is a great base. Many thanks to the owners for the birthday champagne gift for my wife.
