Location description from owner

The Amalfi Coast region

Campania is a region rich in history and culture. There are 5 UNESCO world heritage sites:-18th-Century Royal Palace at Caserta with the Park, the Aqueduct of Vanvitelli, and the San Leucio Complex- Historic Centre of Naples- Archaeological Areas of Pompei, Herculaneum and Torre Annunziata- Amalfi Coast- Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park with the Archeological Sites of Paestum and Velia, and the Certosa di Padula

Minori

There are many things to see in the area:- Amalfi with its beautiful cathedral and its narrow streets to discover.,- Ravello with its beautiful villas (Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone) from which you have probably the most beautiful views of the coast and with its famous music festival.- Positano with its exclusive atmosphere- Atrani, Cetara, the fjord of Furore, Vietri and its pottery,- The old part of Salerno with its magnificent cathedral- The island of Capri- The extensive excavations of Pompei and the most collected but perhaps the most fascinating of Herculaneum (less than an hour of car)- Paestum with its incredible Greek temples (less than an hour and a half) and Cilento with its unpolluted sea- Sorrento (less than an hour)- Naples (about one hour)- The Royal Palace of Caserta (about an hour and twenty)Minori also clearly well worth the time, especially the ancient Villa Romana (first century BC) which can be accessed free of charge.
