“A lovely character cottage in a friendly village”

Reviewed 23 Sep 2012

My husband, myself and my sister had a relaxing week in this cottage. It was cosy but open spaced with good light, and had flexible space. Wood was available for an open fire if needed, and satellite TV provided evening entertainment, and there were some toys and books for children in the wardrobe. There were 2 bathroom, one next to a twin and one ensuite in the master bedroom. The kitchen was modern with good facilities, and there was a washing machine outside. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the patio. Minehead and Dunster were within easy driving distance, though the buses looked good too. The village had a good pub with excellent food, though you needed to book as the pub closes if it isn't busy. The countryside around is spectacular. We spent the time visiting National Trust properties and the journey was as interesting as the properties. I would definitely visit again.
