Description

Our beautiful caravan is ideal for anyone who enjoys walking, fishing or is a steam railway enthusiast. Situated on the Hoburne Blue Anchor seafront site, it overlooks the West Somerset Railway line offering great views of the steam trains and is handily near to Blue Anchor Station for those wishing to take a trip along the coast.

Fishing is extremely popular along the seafront. Walkers will love the fact that you can walk from the van along the coast to Dunster, Minehead or Watchet and Exmoor is just a few minutes drive away. Other nearby attractions include Dunster Village and Castle, Doniford Zoo, the Exmoor Pony Centre, Porlock and many other coastal areas. The nearby Home Farm Car Boot Sale on Saturday afternoons is also popular with bargain hunters!

The tranquil site offers a well-stocked shop, nature walks, a children's play area and crazy golf. There is a lovely cafe next door and a great pub just a few hundred yards away. The fish and chip van calls most days.

The van is on one of the very best pitches on the site, with a perfect sea view whilst being away from the road. The decking offers fantastic views across to South Wales and particularly glorious sunsets. The decking area has a locking gate so it is very safe for small children. There are two bedrooms, the master has an en-suite toilet. There is a sofa bed in the living room. The large shower cubicle can also be used as a shallow bath for little ones. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, 32" HD TV, DVD player, patio furniture, BBQ and sun-loungers There are even books, DVDs, indoor and outdoor games. It is our own holiday home, not a commercial rental, so it has that extra homely feel.

“Lovely caravan in great location.”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2016

We have just returned from an enjoyable, relaxing stay in this lovely caravan, on an excellent plot in a great location. Situated on one of the best plots on a pleasant, peaceful and well maintained site, the caravan has a sea view to the front and the steam railway to the rear. The caravan itself is in excellent condition and a lot of effort has been made to provide everything you could wish for to ensure a carefree relaxing break. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great caravan holiday.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you'll be back!

“LOVELY RELAXING BREAK”

Reviewed 14 Jul 2015

Hello Lindsey. We had a lovely relaxing holiday recently at your holiday rental. Lovely spot - my husband was delighted with the steam railway running behind the caravan - he was in his element! The caravan was lovely and clean and its in a nice quiet location. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much. We have already recommended this holiday rental to several of our friends - hope we get in before they do!!!

Owner's reply: Glad you enjoyed your break and thanks for recommending us to friends. Do contact me as soon as you have dates in mind as we are getting bookings for next year already. Many thanks. Lindsey

“Highly recommended.”

Lovely roomy clean and well equipped caravan. Site well maintained with swimming pool and play area for children. Close to the beach with view of the sea from the front of the caravan and of the steam trains at the back which our little grandson enjoyed watching.

“Idyllic location”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2014

The caravan is beatifully and tastefully decorated. The front has a view between the caravans to the sea, and from the master bedroon the view is of the moors and the steam train. Perfect location to explore Somerset and also Devon. The site itself also has a small shop and swimming pool (at an extra cost). On arrival there was a little guide on the table that had been put together with leaflets of local attractions and helpful little tips - a lovely touch - along with a carton of milk, tea, coffee and sugar (a few biscuits too!). Both of which were added touches that made the stay better. Highly recommend and will be coming again!

“RELAXING SHORT BREAK IN BEAUTIFUL AREA”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2014

We were very impressed wth the facilities of the mobile home. It is many years since we did a caravan holiday and my how things have changed! It was excellently equipped with everything one would need for a break. Having 2 bathrooms was a great bonus as we went with another couple. It is set back from the road so it was very quiet but a stones throw from 2 pubs and a tearoom and also near the sea front. A lovely steam train line runs at the back of the site which was very nostalgic. A local lady blows a horn everytime a train is arriving....very novel and quite a local attraction. We found some fantastic walks locally and visited Dunster which is beautiful. You can do a coastal walk down into Minehead and many other places of interest are easy to get to. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break but the only negative was that it was not long enough! Thank you, we will be returning.

“brilliant holiday home with fantastic views!!!”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2014

we stayed in this beautiful caravan, myself hubby and 2 young children and had an amazing holiday. hoburne blue anchor in situated in a lovely place with amazing views from every angle..... out across the Bristol channel to the front and rolling countryside to the rear. the park is quiet but just how we like it with a great swimming pool and well stocked shop....not to far of a stroll away either we found 2 excellent pubs serving good food and both had great beer gardens to sit and enjoy a wine or three whilst the kids bounced away to their hearts content on the bouncy castles. plenty to do close by also with minehead only a short steam train ride away caught right from the back of the camp which I would highly recommend. Couldn't in away way fault this beautiful caravan, had everything anyone would need and more in it with a fantastic home from home feel......and a very comfy bed in the master which for us and I guess many is a big big plus point! my advice to anyone considering this holiday.....get it booked, lovely lady who owns this van.... you will not be disappointed!
