“A lovely Cotswolds holiday - bluebells unforgettable.”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2016

We rented the house for a week. It is very clean and well-maintained. We loved the village location - friendly chatty neighbours - everything to be found in the village shop - and delightful countryside. The house was very thoughtfully prepared for guests: lots of basic supplies in the kitchen, beds made up, clear explanations of how everything worked. We felt very welcomed.

Oh that's great - many thanks indeed for your lovely review. Hope to welcome you again sometime.

“fantastic holiday cottage”

Reviewed 15 Sep 2014

We had a wonderful stay at High Ridge for my birthday celebrations, I was slightly concerned as I had read a negative review for the property on trip advisor after we`d booked. However this is a wonderful house - extremely comfortable - a real home from home. It was beautifully decorated and very well equipped - most definitely up to 5 stars standard. Clare has thought of everything including a lovely lemon drizzle cake & wine which greeted us on arrival - a lovely unexpected extra. The bookings arrangements were all very efficiently handled by clare also. We`re planning our return visit!

Thanks for taking time to write a review - I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

“Brilliant place to stay”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2013

This really lived up to - and exceeded expectations; it wasn't just the really nice fittings and decoration (etc) but the way the cottage is laid out - especially the kitchen/diner, makes for a really sociable stay - the kitchen lends itself to preparing a meal while all the guests share a sociable drink and chat - excellent. Clare is a thoughtful and solicitous cottage owner - I liked the feed-back form she gives that enables you to report minor faults; the secure garden with decking and BBQ would be brilliant for the summer.....recommend without hesitation.

Thank you so much for taking time to review High Ridge. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay & found the house to be perfect for your gathering. I do hope we can welcome you back in the summer when you can enjoy the decking and have a BBQ!

“Holiday cottage perfection!”

Reviewed 5 May 2013

I hired this cottage for my sisters hen weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. It is such a beautiful house, all the girls were so impressed with the high quality fixtures and fittings. It feels so luxurious with five star bathrooms and kitchen. Part of our weekend was a baking competition and there was plenty of room for 4 teams to make a cake...we also used Rachel, the chef that Clare had recommended and she was excellent. Clare was very easy to deal with and she even left us a cake on our arrival. I couldn't recommend this cottage enough, amazing value for such high quality.

Thanks so much for your wonderful review. We're delighted to welcome well behaved Hen parties. Your photos on Facebook look like you had a lot of fun with 'Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry'!!! Chef Rachel is a real find isn't she - she is such a great chef and having her to cook a celebration dinner really adds to a special celebration. Hope to see you at High Ridge again soon!

“Beautiful, cosy, country cottage with all the features you could hope for.”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2013

From the moment we entered this stunning cottage we were delighted. From the freshly baked cake, to the log fire, open plan kitchen/dining area, immaculately presented rooms with cosy, comfy beds... it was all perfect. We had the most lovely weekend away and were very sad to leave. I just can't believe someone would own such a gorgeous house and not live in it themselves! Thank you Clare!

Thank you! I'm very glad you loved High Ridge!

“Lovely location comfortable cottage felt just like home”

Reviewed 12 Mar 2013

High ridge is a lovely cottage with good sized accommodation over 3 floors. The living areas give space for 8 people to relax with space and the kitchen is great for a family or friends holiday/weekend. The cottage is well appointed with everything g you need to cater for yourself. The village is a typical Cotswold village with charm. We would highly recommend the cottage.

Thank you for reviewing High Ridge - I'm delighted you enjoyed your break away at High Ridge.

“A great time was had by all!”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2012

Lovely house, beautiful kitchen (so jealous!), tastefully furnished. Great location for just chilling with friends. We did one of the walks and spent the rest of the time in the house and garden. Nothing was too much trouble for Clare, the owner. We were greeted by a chocolate cake and bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch. Fabulous.

Thank you for your kind review. The kitchen is what everyone seems to particularly love about High Ridge. You have the best of both worlds, the cosy cottage with beams, log fires etc combined with a fabulous contemporary large kitchen & dining area opening onto the garden - it works well doesn't it! Perfect for socialising with a group of friends! Hope to see you again soon!
