Description from owner

Description

Nestling at the foot of the steep 250ft Tregonhawke Cliff, Beachcombers, (part of the Eddystone Cafe building), is accessed on foot via a steep cliff path and steps after leaving the car at the clifftop. The climb down is well worth it, as this Whitsand Bay apartment stands just 12 feet above the sandy beach at Tregonhawke, part of Whitsand Bay itself, which stretches to about 5 miles of sand and rocks. This one-time stone beach cafe has been converted into three apartments (one occupied by the owner) providing charming, comfortable accommodation, each with magnificent views of the sea and access to the adjacent cafe/surf school/surf shop offering watersports. From the lifeguarded beach at Tregonhawke, there is swimming, wind and kite surfing, kayaking and fishing so that guests can make the most of their stay, while an indoor heated swimming pool, cafe and bar can be found at Whitsand Bay Holiday Park, at the top of the cliff. Relax with tea on arrival at the seasonal beach cafe next

The Southwest Coastal path passes along the top of the cliff.

Millbrook

Whitsand Bay is on the Rame peninsular, often referred to as 'The forgotten corner' even at the height of the summer there is very little crowding. Whitsandbay Holiday park, at the top of the cliff offers an indoor swimming pool, bar, bistro and a small shop for papers, milk and other essentials.
The nearest small supermarkets, Spar and Coop, are in Mill brook, a mile away, which also has an Indian Takeaway, Fish and Chip shop, Green Grocer and chemist. Bigger shops, and a garage, can be found in Torpoint, 7 miles away.
There are traditional Cornish villages Cawsand and Kingsand, 4 miles away with a variety of pubs and a grockle shop.
Polawn fort, a well known and expensive wedding venue is just over a mile to the East.
There are 3 large estates on the peninsular with their respective country houses, all open to the public and with gardens and occasional events - Port Elliot, Mount Edgecombe and Antony Houses.
Further afield - Eden Project, Minack Theatre, Lands end, Truro, Newquay, Port Isaac, and the whole of the North and South coast of Cornwall.
