“Great location, views excellent, plenty of space for large family”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2016

Stayed with family of 8, was plenty of space to move around, not all cramped in one place. The hosts was welcoming, the 2 boys enjoyed the farm tour with John and collecting the eggs, feeding the donkeys. Was a nice welcome package of Eggs, home made scone, logs for the fire. Rooms was bright and fresh. Enjoyed the evening competition of games in the lounge on the pool table. Cracking utility facilities, smell of fresh washing dried on line was great. Overall everyone had a great stay and would stay there again. Highly recommend as an excellent place to stay if visiting Donegal.

“Fabulous Easter break!”

We went to Willowfarm House for a70th birthday present for my Dad. There were 9 people in our party including and 87 year old and my 3 children (13, 10 and 8). The house is massive we all had our own space and the views were beautiful. It has everything you could possibly need inside. There is a large garden complete with swings, slide, football net and picnic tables. The family also loved the wifi and pool table. John and Dolores were very friendly and approachable - nothing was too much trouble. They have cows, sheep, donkeys and sheep which John took the children to see. They loved feeding the donkeys and going to collect eggs from the barn each morning. Great!! We were 20 minutes from Glenveigh National Park and Letterkenny. Glenveigh is spectacular and we also had a great day at the Doagh Famine Village. The boys also had a great days fishing at a nearby lake (17 fish!!). The Travellers Inn is a local pub/restaurant about a mile from the house. We had a great meal there and also went there to experience a tradional Irish music night which was great. We had an extremely relaxing break and John and Dolores made everything very easy. Can't wait to return - Thank you John and Dolores! The Stewart Family x

And a great location for access to Atlantic Way destinations! Plenty of room (and a pool table) in the farmhouse for a group of people, especially handy when the weather gets in the way of being out and about.

“Nice and convenient”

We very much enjoyed our stay at Willowfarmhouse. Very comfortable accommodation & good location for visiting beauty spots, beaches etc. Owners & their son very helpful & nothing was too much trouble for them. Children enjoyed visiting the animals & collecting fresh eggs. Would certainly stay here again despite the poor weather & would recommend it to family & friends. Evelyn, Frank & family

“It felt like coming home.”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2013

We had a lovely, warm welcome from John and Dolores. The home-made bread was delicious and much appreciated on arrival. The turf fire in the sitting room was delightful and made things very cosy in the evenings. The turf was replenished regularly by the turf fairy. The farmhouse is very spacious and coped easily with our party of nine. The food in the local pub, The Travellers' Inn," was fantastic and great value for money, unfortunately they only served food at the weekend, as it was off season. The house is located close to the town but in a quiet and idyllic setting. All in all, a fantastic place to re-charge the batteries and we would all hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you both for your hospitality.

“The house is a large, spacious, well kept property suitable for a large number of people.”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2013

We were welcomed by the owners and shown the property, We were reassured that should we need anything he was available. A beautiful touch was a large home made scone of bread and 12 farm fresh eggs left in the kitchen- it was really appreciated. We were also given a constant supply of turf for the open fire in the living room- a really homely touch. We were having a family wedding from the property and found it to be very suitable both for space on the morning of wedding and also for accommodating the guests whom we entertained after the reception. The house is located a short distance outside of Milford and although private with beautiful views it is not isolated. Really enjoyed our stay and the house was admired by the people who visited us.

“home from home”

Reviewed 6 Jan 2013

upon arrival we were welcomed by dolores with a lovely turf fire blazing and immediately felt at home, the farm house was very cosy and homely with plenty of space for all of us, 11 in total including 2 babies, dolores and john had cots set for us in the rooms so the checking in process was very straight forward and easy, the house was extensively equipped with everything including dishwasher which came in very handy, we were able to bring our sky box to the house and it worked flawlessly, i cant speak highly enough of willow farmhouse and we will definatly be returning in the future.

“Great place to stay, home from home!”

We travelled as a family including young children, grandma & pets! The house was suitable for all of us, everything we needed was there. It is so spacious and comfortable there was room for everyone. Our children loved the garden & we had lovely weather so we managed to eat 'al fresco' on the decking! There are some amazing beaches to visit nearby. Fab holiday!
