The Lombardy region
Milan, cosmopolitan city, but linked to the old traditions.
Industrial city but with a big artistic heritage, city that looks to the future but with a great history behind.
The city of fashion, design, tourism and food but also of commerce and industry.
Milan: a city to visit at 360 degrees
Really strategic the proximity to the University Bocconi which is now a reference of scientific and cultural, economics, managerial, quantitative, legal fields.
Within walking distance even the IULM University that promotes the education and scientific research through knowledge of business communication and language.
Within walking distance you can find Parco Ravizza, the green lung of the city, full of tall trees, where jogging or just walking. The area is very lively with restaurants, pubs, shops and supermarkets.
The area is well served by public transport, Tram 9 access the main roads that circle Milan meanwhile tram 24 directly connects to the center of Milan. In 10 minutes by foot there is the Metro: Porta Romana and Crocetta (yellow line).the line serves the center of Milan, the Duomo and San Donato.
Parking with fee in the area
• Bligny Parking Via Salasco, 36
• Vittadini Park Via Carlo Vittadini, 3
South-east of the Navigli, past the pedestrian bridge covered with graffiti of Porta Genova, lies the area of via Tortona, a former working-class district of banister houses and factories, currently full of shops, “ateliers” and design studios.
A must see are the Armani theatre, designed by architect Tadao Ando, and the Pomodoro foundation, utmost example of recovering industrial architecture/ recupero di archeologia industriale. During the annual Furniture Show (“Salone del Mobile”) held in April the area of via Tortona houses several show rooms and offers events and parties till the early hours.
