“Lovely cosy cottage , perfect for a country get away”
Spotlessly clean and well equipped cottage. Warm and cosy in a beautiful setting. Throughly happy with our choice
“Perfect 'bolt hole' for relaxation”
This cottage is in an ideal location for visiting a variety of 'attractions' in the Yorkshire Dales and Durham area. The location of the cottage down a quiet lane makes it perfect for those wanting a peaceful location. Sounds of horses hooves and church clock chimes only to be heard! Parking down the lane next to the church is never a problem. This was important to me as a lone traveller and the fact that the lane is dark at night. The owners have thought of everything, from shower gel to Taylors tea bags, as well as the comfort of their lovely cottage. Even such fine detail as getting a text from the owner on the day of arrival to check all was ok, further demonstrates their attention to detail.
“Perfect holiday retreat!”
Had a wonderful stay in this delightful holiday cottage. Everything just as you would hope to find it. Many thanks!
“Very well appointed cottage”
Very good location for seeing the dales. Plenty to do in the area. Have Sunday lunch at the Blue Lion in East Witton, excellent.
“Perfect Spring Break”
Stayed in Jenny Wren cottage for 4 days to celebrate birthday and wedding anniversary. We were delighted with this very cosy cottage which is furnished to the highest standard. We had wonderful Spring weather making the walks around Middleham very enjoyable.Recommend walking on the gallops and a walk to the Cover Bridge Inn .Chilly in the evening so loved the log fire. .Also liked the Richard the Third pub for early evening drinks.Hopefully we will visit this cottage again.
“A gem in the Beautiful Dales”
A wren-sized cottage with a flock of excellent characteristics. A delightful, well-appointed home-from-home place to stay. High quality kitchen and bathroom, cosy living room, and comfortable bedroom make for a wonderful break.
“Beautiful relaxing cottage in amazing surroundings”
We've just had a long weekend in Jenny Wren cottage and couldn't wish for anything better, the cottage had everything we could wish for. Superbly furnished and set out and was so cosy and inviting. The location was perfect for everything we wished to do, with lots of places to visit within a short drive away. Lots of walking straight from the doorway of the cottage with the promise of a drink in one of the pubs afterwards. Middleham is a lovely village and the walk to the Coverbridge Inn for chicken and ham pie is one that we would certainly recommend. Jenny Wren is perfect for a romantic break away and from getting away from the hustle and bustle of every day life and just relaxing and taking it easy, thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to have a bit of 'me' time
“Jenny Wren Cottage Middleham”
We stayed at Jenny Wren Cottage for a 3 night break in mid October 2014. We were looking for a self catering cottage in the Wensleydale area and after seeing the property on the Middleham website decided to book. The cottage is very cosy , beautifully presented and spotlessly clean with all modern facilities. The location is near to the village church and parking was available at the end of the lane very close to cottage. The property benefits from internet wireless access. The log burning fire is a nice feature and gave me more fun than watching the TV !! The proprietors' are very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this property to people wishing for a quality cottage in a picturesque village location.
A light airy thoughtfully modernised cottage which was spotless with everything we needed plus more!
“Excellent cottage in ideal location”
This is an excellent cottage for a couple - well equipped and very comfortable. Middleham is an excellent base to visit the Yorkshire Dales and boasts 4 pubs that provide food, 2 cafes and a well stocked local shop, all within very easy walking distance. It also has a considerable number of horse racing stables so thoroughbred horses are a frequent sight in the village.
