“Delightful stay at Derwen Cottages”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2016

A group of us stayed at Derwen cottages for 2 nights and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Rob and Chris were very helpful and friendly throughout the enquiry and booking process, they even happily received our Sainsburys grocery delivery as we were running late on arrival. The house has a fantastic large living room / dining area which was perfect for us to socialise, eat and play games together, a very well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for us all to relax, sleep and shower! We were a group of 13 ladies, but getting ready for a night out in Cardiff was a smooth process as there is just so much space and we never ran out of hot water! Cardiff central is 20 mins away in taxi (we paid £40 for 2 taxis back from Cardiff central at 1AM which I think is very good!). Weather was lovely but a little too chilly to sit outside which was a shame as there is a lovely garden - it was nice to look at through the window of the kitchen. Views from the rooms upstairs looking out front were beautiful! All in all, a wonderful stay at a lovely, charming house with plenty of space and facilities. Thank you Rob & Chris!

“Beautiful views and well kept cottages”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2015

We stayed here for my friends hendo, The cottages are situated in a beautiful part of Wales with amazing views. The cottages have everything you could need including towels, they are clean and kept well. We had a wonderful stay and cardiff main city is only a 20 minute drive. Would highly recommend these cottages and am planning a return trip.

A welcoming property in quiet country setting, offering ample space for 12 guests. Very clean and child friendly. All facilities of high quality. Plenty of places to visit for all ages. The pub next door is very covenient and pleasant. The Cardiff area has much to offer for all ages, We enjoyed the steam railway, Techniquest, the Folk Museum, three good castles, Dr Who and the Liesure pool.

“Easter break in Cardiff”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2014

I would highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone who wishes to explore Cardiff but appreciates a peaceful setting. The spacious rooms and excellent facilities combined with the idyllic setting made the stay very comfortable and enjoyable. I cannot fault anything about our stay and can only say that we would definitely return!
