Chalet La Fugue is situated at the heart of Meribel centre. Access is via the escalator from the tourist office and a short walk up a beautiful tree lined snow covered track.
The chalet has 6 twin or double bedrooms with some able to accommodate an extra bed if required.
The lower floor consists of 1 family room, a double with en-suite shower room and a connecting door to a twin room and also another spacious twin room, a newly renovated bathroom and separate WC, and a dining area with seating, tv and dvd player.
Stairs lead to the main living area, with dining table, comfortable seating area, tv and dvd player and fabulous views across the valley. Additionally there is a separate wc and a large terrace that catches the afternoon sun.
Further stairs lead to a double room, a room which can be either twin or double and a twin room with sloping ceiling, therefore more suitable for children. There is a shower room and a family bathroom with wc, both of which are also newly renovated.
Due to the unique nature of Chalet La Fugue, in non-peak weeks, we can offer separate accommodation for two small parties of up to 6 as the ground floor can be closed off from the rest of the chalet. Each separate apartment has a double and 2 twins, 2 bath/shower rooms and its own living/dining space.
Please contact us if you wish to book for a smaller group.
We have free wifi throughout the chalet, French satellite television channels, DVD players and a selection of DVD's, plus an I-pod dock

The Rhône-Alpes region
The French Alps is the best place in Europe for skiing and snowboarding and the three valleys has something for everyone. The scenery is fantastic with snowy topped mountains and often bright blue skies. Visit this area in the winter to get away from the dreary greyness of the UK and experience crisp clean mountain air.
Meribel is located in the heart of the Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the French Alps which provides some of the best skiing and snowboarding in Europe. With 600km of piste and good accessible off piste there are options for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers and snowboarders. For non-skiers there are cross country trails and walking trails, an ice rink and a swimming pool all within easy access of Chalet La Fugue.
After a fabulous day on the mountain there’s nothing better than joining in the après ski and with the Rond Point (aka The Ronnie), Scotts and The Tavern all just a stone’s throw away you’ll have plenty of choice.
After dinner the chalet is close enough to the bars and nightlife to head out for a quick nightcap or enjoy a full on night out inevitably ending at Dicks Tea Bar.

"Mike and Ali from Ski Vive made our holiday a success"
From before we arrived, it seemed Mike and Ali were intent on making our holiday a success. They were excellent hosts to the extent that by the end of the holiday it felt like you had been visiting friends. The home cooking was first class and breakfasts were available to ensure you could get on the first ski lifts, there were home baked cakes available during the day, before they waited on you for the evening meal. They ensured no stone was unturned and not only gave advise on slopes and drinking holes, they often joined us on and in them! I cannot recommend highly enough them as hosts, their chalet and the Meribel resort!

"Excellent Service and Location"
The chalet is located a small walk from the main drop off area in Meribel. This is great news for apres-ski, any shopping you need to do and those late night excusrions, getting back in the early hours! In the morning (or anytime you want) you can ski directly down to the main group of lifts from the bottom of the chalet steps, giving you early access to lots of ski areas. The chalet also has a lovely view out onto some of the slopes as well as a competition run which makes for good viewing. The service and willingness to be flexible for all the needs of the people staying was second to none and it really made the difference. I have never been on a catered stay before but it really did make a massive difference and well worth any extra money it costs. Overall the best ski experience I have ever had.

"We a lovely holiday with great food and service."
We had a great stay at Chalet Fugue. Ali and Mike Bateson could not have been more helpful and kind to us. The service was great with clean rooms and lovely additions such as Mike's different cocktails each night. Ali is a fantastic cook and the food was consistently delicious. Portions were sensible as well so we were all well fed but not overly so. Chalet Fugue is charming but not as big as I had expected. We were a group of 9 and it was fine for us. We would have struggled if there had been more of us although it is sold as sleeping 12. The ski-ing was great although very busy at the lower slopes which made it hard for the less experienced skiers in our group. Having said that we did go over the New Year holiday so to be expected.

"Holiday of a lifetime, can't wait to return next year."
Our holiday at Chalet la Fugue was amazing! Mike and Ali were perfect hosts. The chalet was cosy and homely with everything we needed. It is situated right on the piste so that you can ski in and ski out. Mike was a brilliant porter, when it came to transporting our luggage across the piste. The food was exceptional, definitely five star. Ali was a brilliant cook. We can't wait to visit their other chalet, Clementine, this year.
