A fabulous family retreat with lake views and swimming pool!

This stunning lake view property is perfect for families wanting to explore and enjoy the delights of Lake Como. The beautiful duplex property enjoys a splendid elevated position in a gated residence on the sunny Menaggio hillside and is within a few minutes walk of the town’s amenities.

The property features the principal living accommodation to the first floor, with a very spacious open plan living room to welcome guests. A comfortable sitting area with stylish leather sofas faces a fabulous open fireplace which is ideal for cosy romantic evenings in with a chilled glass of wine or for simply watching a film on the 32” flat screen TV with DVD player. A music stereo with IPod dock is also provided for guest’s entertainment, if required, Wi-Fi access is also available.

Guests can enjoy the direct views of the central lake from the living area, and after opening the glass doors can access the private sunny terrace which is ideal for accommodating guests for splendid alfresco dinner parties, with the breathtaking backdrop of the Bellagio peninsular and unspoilt eastern shore in view. Sun loungers also provide guests with the perfect relaxation spot for reading a book or enjoying a cocktail!

The newly fitted Kitchen/diner is chic and spacious with its Italian balance of modernist style and practicality. All the desired appliances needed for a comfortable self-catering stay are provided and include a gas hob, oven, coffee machine, kettle and dishwasher for maximum convenience.

Three bedrooms are situated to the first floor with a master bedroom furnished with beautiful modern oak furniture and enjoying lake views from its terrace balcony access. The second bedroom also comprises a double bed and is furnished to a high modern finish. The spacious third bedroom is furnished with a junior-size bunk bed and a pull down single bed to accommodate a third guest if required. Two newly-fitted modern bathrooms with power showers feature to this floor.

The holiday home also features a 4th bedroom with 2 single beds and an accompanying bathroom with shower, to a separate lower floor. To reach this additional accommodation, one must exit onto the covered balcony through the window door, and then take 3 steps to the left to reach a door, which leads to an internal staircase.

A fabulous entertainment area is also situated to the lower floor, in a large modernised cantina, which boasts a bar, cooking facilities and spacious dining area. There is also a sitting area with an open fireplace, a flat screen 32” TV with Xbox game station / DVD player and music stereo are also provided.

All bedrooms feature a Radio / IPod dock and a selection of DVDs and Xbox games are also provided.

A private parking facility is provided for guests in the residence and a fabulous feature can also be enjoyed by guests; a splendid lake view swimming pool! Please note that anyone who wishes to use the communal pool must wear a swimming cap.

The sunny tranquil poolside also makes it popular for sunbathing and the views are spectacular over the central lake.

From the gated residence guests can easily drive to the Loveno Tennis Club and the Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club as well as being able to easily reach the centre of Menaggio by car or in just 5 minutes on foot.

The picturesque resort town provides all the desired local amenities including supermarkets, delicatessens, boutique clothes and jewellery shops and a family friendly Lido with beach and swimming pools. The pretty cafe-lined piazzas are delightful to sit in and enjoy a cappuccino and there is a wide variety of restaurants available, from the inexpensive family friendly Pizzerias and lakefront Red Bay restaurant to the elegant Il Ristorante di Paolo in the lake view Piazza. There are many other restaurants situated just a short scenic drive along the central lake towards Tremezzo and beyond.

Local activities include hiking, cycling, sailing, swimming, boat hire, kayaking, windsurfing, quad biking, tennis, golf and horse riding.

From Menaggio the many other towns and nearby cities are highly accessible with a lake bus service running from the town to Como city and a frequent car and passenger ferry service operating between Bellagio, Varenna and to the other popular visitor towns.

During the high season an airport shuttle service runs to Bergamo airport and Como city provides train links to Milan and Malpensa airport.

Dear Peter, We are delighted that you enjoyed the view - which is indeed absolutely stunning - and the pool. With regards to the washing-machine, once we were aware that it was broken, the owners bought a new machine which has now been installed. New frontage for this and the surrounding units will be fitted at the close of the season - we don't want to disturb our guests' holidays by carrying out cosmetic work. With regard to the other problems, unfortunately batteries die, bulbs go and need to be replaced. If you had let us know of these problems while you were staying with us we would certainly have checked them out and fixed them as soon as possible. Best regards Lake Como Holiday

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
