Beauty, Outstanding Scenery, Peace and Quiet
30 minutes from the most visited monument in Spain, the Alhambra in Granada, nestled on a hill in the Lecrin Valley, El MOLINO DEL AZAHAR, Estate of 6000m2, boasts a panoramic view of this green valley dedicated to Andalusian citrus and olive trees, bordered by the Alpujarras and its white villages.
In summer, the pool, sunny all day, is waiting for you to refresh yourself before you lie down in the shade of almond´s trees and enjoy a fresh orange juice watching an unforgettable sunset.
In winter, after a sports day or other, a warm fireplace, churros, chocolate or tea, will warm you up in the sitting- room dimmed by the sunset.
Whether you choose to walk on the hill overlooking Granada's history and its multiple cultures, or even visit the Science Park or the museum of Andalusia and finally vibrate to the sound of flamenco or wander in the tapas bars, access to Granada is very easy by the motorway 27km from us.

The Andalucia region
Alpujarra and Valle de Lecrín
The peace that you can breathe in its small white towns, the five natural parks of the province and the National Park of Sierra Nevada, turns the province of Granada into a paradise for those who look for the rest, the calmness and the contact with the nature during their holidays. For the incentive trips, the province provides spaces adapted for the practice of the orientation races, the descent of ravines, bungy jumping, the archery and paintball. The golf courses offer is in the heat of expansion, although there are only two in the province so far: one in Motril and another in Las Gabias, both of 18 holes.
The routes proposed in this section can be enjoyed in car, 4X4, on foot, in bicycle, quad or, even, in a horse.
The citruses and the olive trees are the first thing that stands out. Even so, we should not forget the wide range of traditional dishes that can be tasted in El Valle. Fennel stew, meatballs of cod, snails in sauce, trotters, pumpkin pisto or salad of coloraos peppers are some of the gastronomy varieties offered here. Among the desserts the fried milk, the almond biscuits, the French toasts or the orange cream have fame.
The first written information of this place corresponds to the Islamic period. Even so, there probably was a human settlement previously, due to the fertility of the land and the abundance of water.
Melegís was, in the XV century, residence of the Court of Granada during a brief period of time, after suffering this area the civil wars between Alhamar and the Abencerrajes, in the last years of the XIV century.
In spite of the conflicts, the Muslims made a prosperous place of this town. They developed the irrigated cultivations, part of the canals are still being used today, and achieved a buoyant agriculture that it had the cultivation of oranges, lemons, almonds, olive and grapes, granadas etc....An area of outstanding natural beauty, the Lecrin Valley is famous for its verdant landscape (due to the melt-water run off from the Sierra Nevada) and its amazing views to lake Beznar and up to the Sierra Nevada mountains, its walks, birdlife and amazing spring colours.
