Walking distance to the historic Melbourne Hall and the beautiful Melbourne Pool within its grounds.

Local attractions include National Trust Calke Abbey, a historic country house within 600 acre nature reserve and amazing views. The Abbey has breathtaking interior retaining hundreds of years history. Take a break, have a lunch in the lovely restaurant or just a cup of tea while watching for the deers in the deer park, also close by is Staunton Harold Reservoir with yacht club and a children's activity play area, wander along the path overlooking the picturesque waters and the bird life.

A very clean, comfortable, well equipped bungalow, with enclosed garden on quiet estate. Convenient if considering a visit to the airport!, or Donington Park. We enjoyed our stay especially as we were allowed to bring our dogs, not many do allow this so thank you. Trust you found the property as we found it, showing that dog owners can be respectful and not all dogs trash a place. Would book again.

We stayed at Donington Den with our 2 small children and enjoyed it very much. We received a very nice welcome. The house was very clean and cosy with all the necessary appliances. It's a nice base to discover the surounding region in a cute village. We just wished we had stayed longer

Lovely, cosy cottage. It was very clean and perfect for our family of 4. It was a home away from home. The hosts were very friendly and the welcome pack was yummy. Short walk into town to shops, pubs and restaurants.

Donington Den is a very clean, comfortable house situated in a lovely village with an interesting array of small, independent shops. We enjoyed our stay there so much that we have already re-booked the house for another trip to visit family in the area. The owners were very obliging and arranged for a neighbour to be on hand with the key to the house as the owners were away on holiday when we arrived. I would recommend the house for a relaxing stay in a nice area of the country.
