From the owner

Villa Albardeira is an exceptionally appointed and located detached family home, being within a short walk of the beach at Meia Praia (the longest beach in Europe) and the marina and town of Lagos with its numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and entertainments

The villa has all the space of a five bedroom villa (which it is - two of the bedrooms are not rented) so there is plenty of room for families and friends to be together but also to have their own space

There are two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom (both air conditioned and included in price) and two bathrooms, one ensuite to the master (which has a corner jacuzzi bath) and a family bathroom. Both of the bathrooms are large, and incorporate bath tubs as well as showers.

The kitchen is equipped as for a true family home as opposed to a rental property, so whether you're cooking and eating in or using the bbq, even the most discerning cook will find they have everything they need to make family cooking a pleasure. Alternatively there are local bars and restaurants within a few minutes' walk for those wanting a rest from family or friends' catering

Outside, there are plenty of sun beds (note that sunbeds do have mattresses which are not shown in the pictures) and areas for sunbathing, or relaxing in the shade on the terraces. Pool towels are provided to help with luggage weights. Free WIFI

Pool heating is available at £143 per week, payable locally.

Winter bookings EXCLUDE electricity which is payable locally and the winter rate is only applicable for four people maximum (including children out of cots). For insurance purposes, this villa is not available to groups where the majority are under the age of 25. Failure to observe the above may result in cancellation without recompense. Pets only by arrangement for winter bookings. Outside of that period sadly pets cannot be accommodated.

Thank you for your review and I am pleased that you had a good holiday. Lisa and I are disappointed that you said you could smell damp as if you look at the previous guests' review (who left on the day you arrived) they had no such issue as you can see from their review. I can only think that maybe the structure containing the pool equipment had a build up of condensation during the poorer than usual weather when you visited. Something we will look out for if similar poor weather exists (which is most unusual) in the hotter months

Owner's reply:
I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay but am concerned about your comments re heating. The heating system is inverter (ie aircon in summer and heat in the winter) and the only option for describing that on the ad is central heating. I will get Lisa to double check that all is working properly as normally inverters provide sufficient and almost immediate heat. Thank you for bringing this to my attention

How do damage deposits work?
