Description

Villa Albardeira is an exceptionally appointed and located detached family home, being within a short walk of the beach at Meia Praia (the longest beach in Europe) and the marina and town of Lagos with its numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and entertainments

The villa has all the space of a five bedroom villa (which it is - two of the bedrooms are not rented) so there is plenty of room for families and friends to be together but also to have their own space

There are two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom (both air conditioned and included in price) and two bathrooms, one ensuite to the master (which has a corner jacuzzi bath) and a family bathroom. Both of the bathrooms are large, and incorporate bath tubs as well as showers.

The kitchen is equipped as for a true family home as opposed to a rental property, so whether you're cooking and eating in or using the bbq, even the most discerning cook will find they have everything they need to make family cooking a

Location description from manager

The Algarve region

The Western Algarve enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year, with pleasant winters and gorgeous summer - warm enough to enjoy the outdoors to the full, but with a cooling breeze on the hottest summer afternoons. The coastline on this part of the Algarve is just stunning, un developed outside of the main towns and it's still possible to find a spot to yourselves on the beaches here, even in the busiest months. Water sports abound along the coast, and for experienced surfers the West coast (about 20 minutes away) is the surfing capital of Europe

For golfers, there are plenty of golf courses to choose from, then nearest to Montaza being Palmares and the championship golf course at Boavista (where guests receive a 25% discount on normal green fees).

For children, apart from the beaches, there are plenty of activities nearby including the highly popular water park and unique sand sculpture park

Meia Praia

Lagos is a fascinating old town, steeped in history and with very attractive cobbled streets. It's a town that's alive in both the winter and the summer, and has numerous bars, restaurants, cultural activities, museums, beaches and, of course the new marina which is just a fabulous place to either take a trip from or just sit in a cafe watching the world go by. Lagos is in my view a town that one can never be bored in!

“Spacious villa, conveniently situated for Lagos and Meia Praiha”

Reviewed 13 Oct 2015

We had an excellent holiday.  I re-read the description and believe it to be accurately stated. The huge kitchen with/dining/lounge- outdoor eating area makes things easy. We found the owners very pleasant and helpful, and responded instantly and effectively when a small problem with the satellite connection threatened our TV reception of the Rugby. The villa was very clean and very well equipped. Although we had a car, it was convenient to walk to the beach or the town if we wished.

“Amazing villa, wonderful place to stay”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2015

We stayed at this villa for 11 days in September 2015 and what an amazing stay it was. The villa is spectacular... Great bedrooms all with air con, large bathrooms, huge open plan kitchen diner lounge (with a brilliant surround sound system and DVD choice for the one rainy day we had), fantastic balcony terrace with BBQ and table (we spent a lot of time here playing cards in evening) and stunning pool area. The pool is big enough to play a few games in and deep enough. We loved the sun loungers and thought the garden was very well kept. Lisa (the owner) was brilliant - flexible with check in time, provided some snacks and drinks on arrival, provided fresh linen and towels half way through our stay and was on hand to answer any query we had. Ive stayed at a number of rented villas and I would say Lisa is one of the better hosts - on hand but not too close. I'm shocked by the previous comment on here as I really cannot see how they could be so negative. This really is an amazing villa! To address some of the other reviewers comments - yes the sprinklers go on during night but this is what keeps garden so nice. I didn't hear them unless we were on the balcony and even then it was only for a few minutes at a time. The people we were with who stayed in the room by the garden said they heard them in morning but weren't bothered by them. The bins do get collected every day - this is wonderful! There's no smell and no worrying about missing bin day. The bin men are there for about 2 minutes so it's really not bad. The booking process was very simple and Caroline was incredibly helpful. She provided local information and recommended some things to do. She also confirmed our flight times and check in / out so we could just enjoy our holiday. Overall this is a spectacular villa and I would highly recommend it! I'm sure we will be back at some point. Thank you Caroline and Lisa for helping to make sure we had an amazing holiday and for letting your beautiful villa to us!
