“Large, well eqipped house, but cleanliness needs to be improved”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2013

The property is large and well equipped, but the standard cleanliness could be better. Our holiday was spoilt by seeing and hearing rats in the living room and bedrooms. The owner was aware of this problem, and said they "normally just put the cats in the house before guests arrive". They claim that when they had previously put poison down, guests complained about the smell, as the rats die under the floorboards.
