Edinburgh Sparkles
With six weeks of incredible festive celebrations, it is no surprise that Edinburgh has been voted the best place in the UK to enjoy Christmas and Hogmanay.

Meadowbank

Arthur’s Seat is the main peak of the group of hills which form most of Holyrood Park, described by Robert Louis Stevenson as &quota hill for magnitude, a mountain in virtue of its bold design. It is situated in the centre of the city of Edinburgh, about a mile to the east of Edinburgh Castle. The hill rises above the city to a height of 250.5 m (822 ft), provides excellent panoramic views of the city, is relatively easy to climb, and is popular for hillwalking. Though it can be climbed from almost any direction, the easiest and simplest ascent is from the east, where a grassy slope rises above Dunsapie Loch.

Calton Hill is a hill in central Edinburgh, Scotland, just to the east of the New Town. Views of, and from, the hill are often used

House rules

No Hen or Stag Parties
Only considerate guests to other neighbours will be welcomed
No high heels inside the apartment (would recommend bringing soft shoes or slippers for inside the apartment)
No noise or loud chatting in the communal stairwell inbetween 10pm - 9pm - so guests leaving in the middle of the night need to be quiet when using the stairwell as it is very boomy and echoes. We have lovely neighbours so please be considerate of their homes and awareness of noise.
Many thanks!!

“Royal Park Tce.”

Reviewed 19 Apr 2017

The apartment was in a great location for us near Meadowbank sports centre with easy access to Edinburgh City centre. A supermarket nearby enabled us to become self sufficient within hours if arriving. The apartment was well equipped with everything you would expect in your own home. Situated in a nice quiet neighbour hood we all enjoyed a good night's sleep. We would defiantly recommend it to friends and hope to return again next time we are attending a sporting event in Meadowbank.

“Excellent”

We spent Christmas here as a family and enjoyed ourselves so much. The flat is warm, comfortable and has great kitchen facilities. Petrea was extremely helpful in answering lots of questions before our arrival and was very flexible over our departure time on Boxing Day. The flat is brilliantly located right opposite Arthur's seat and Holyrood Park. It is quiet and has great views. Would highly recommend.

“Nice Quiet Flat”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2015

The flat is well located opposite Holyrood Park, an easy 10 minute walk to the palace and top end of the Royal Mile. There is a large shopping complex including a Sainsburys a short walk away. Eating out on the Royal Mile is expensive, you're better off looking further afield. We had 2 day trips out to Stirling and Rosslyn by train and bus respectively which were easily done and the scenery out of town is very nice. The flat itself is up 3 flights if stairs, so take that into account. That said, having 2 bathrooms for the 4 of us was good, and the cooking facilities help keep costs down in an otherwise expensive city. The beds were a good size and comfortable and the flat is well maintained and clean. In short a warm and comfy flat with all you need for a good stay in Edinburgh.

Owner's reply: Thank you Alan for your review. It was a pleasure to have you to stay. Kind wishes, Petrea

Perfect, just as advertised, We were there for the marathon festival, both my wife and my son in law ran the 26.2miles, then climbed the 3 flights of stairs to the apartment!! Loved the spa bath and the very comfy beds. The views were great too.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your review! Glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you in the future. Kind wishes, Petrea

“Excellent apartment exactly as described”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2014

Excellent apartment in a very good location for all that Edinburgh has to offer. Well presented and comfortable with everything you may need included. Exactly as described on the website and the reviews recommending the apartment are well deserved. I would certainly recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 4 Jun 2014

This apartment has everything you could possibly need and has beautiful views from the front windows. I also enjoyed hearing the bagpipe player in the park opposite. Essentials such as milk on arrival was a lovely touch. We took our 2 year old daughter who was really well catered for. The beds were very comfortable and the whirlpool bath was welcomed after a long day walking round the city. I could go on..... All in all a lovely apartment not far from the city centre and a very friendly host. Well recommended and would love to return.

“Great location and comfy apartment”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2014

We were warmly greeted and four of us enjoyed a week in Edinburgh. The location is great for those that like to walk and with two bathrooms it makes a small group workable. The apartment is well equipped not too much and not too little. We had fun and could easily spend another week. Until next time!

“Lovely Apartment, very homely, really enjoyed my stay, the children didnt want to leave.”

Excellent standard apartment, lovely and clean, very much recomemended. Close to city centre, and supermarked. The 3 children and baby had lots of room they had a double bed each. We loved the jacuzzi. We didnt want to leave. Great value for money.

“Great flat in a beautiful location”

Reviewed 20 Mar 2014

We were greeted upon arrival as agreed (earlier than usual, as rearranged by Petrea to suit our schedule which was above and beyond what she had to do) and shown around the impeccably clean flat. Everything was exactly as listed, gorgeous views, great location and perfect for five guests. Views of Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park while drinking our morning coffee made for a wonderful start to each day. Highly recommended!
