Royal Park Terrace is one of Edinburgh's hidden gems. The apartment at Royal Park Terrace is a 3 Bedroom apartment overlooking Holyrood Park and only ten minutes walk through the park to Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth and the Royal Mile.

The apartment has been modernised to a very high degree with comfortable and quality furnishings and benefits from free on street parking all year round.

Holyrood Park is on your door step and will entice you in to enjoy its beauties. You could say it is the front garden of the flat as the gate to the park is only a few meters from the front door. You can spend an enjoyable day walking through the park picnicking, cycling, playing or just watching the swans and ducks in the nearby lochs.

There are a variety of walks up or around Arthur's Seat with many giving spectacular views of the city skyline, the Forth or the Pentland hills. There is a choice of routes to suit walkers of all abilities so there is something for everyone.

Arthur's Seat is the main peak of the group of hills which form most of Holyrood Park, described by Robert Louis Stevenson as "a hill for magnitude, a mountain in virtue of its bold design". It is situated in the centre of the city of Edinburgh, about a mile to the east of Edinburgh Castle. The hill rises above the city to a height of 250.5 m (822 ft), provides excellent panoramic views of the city, is relatively easy to climb, and is popular for hillwalking. "Nice Quiet Flat"

The flat is well located opposite Holyrood Park, an easy 10 minute walk to the palace and top end of the Royal Mile. There is a large shopping complex including a Sainsburys a short walk away. Eating out on the Royal Mile is expensive, you're better off looking further afield. We had 2 day trips out to Stirling and Rosslyn by train and bus respectively which were easily done and the scenery out of town is very nice. The flat itself is up 3 flights if stairs, so take that into account. That said, having 2 bathrooms for the 4 of us was good, and the cooking facilities help keep costs down in an otherwise expensive city. The beds were a good size and comfortable and the flat is well maintained and clean. In short a warm and comfy flat with all you need for a good stay in Edinburgh.

Perfect, just as advertised, We were there for the marathon festival, both my wife and my son in law ran the 26.2miles, then climbed the 3 flights of stairs to the apartment!! Loved the spa bath and the very comfy beds. The views were great too.

"Excellent apartment exactly as described"

Excellent apartment in a very good location for all that Edinburgh has to offer. Well presented and comfortable with everything you may need included. Exactly as described on the website and the reviews recommending the apartment are well deserved. I would certainly recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

This apartment has everything you could possibly need and has beautiful views from the front windows. I also enjoyed hearing the bagpipe player in the park opposite. Essentials such as milk on arrival was a lovely touch. We took our 2 year old daughter who was really well catered for. The beds were very comfortable and the whirlpool bath was welcomed after a long day walking round the city. I could go on..... All in all a lovely apartment not far from the city centre and a very friendly host. Well recommended and would love to return.

"Great location and comfy apartment"

We were warmly greeted and four of us enjoyed a week in Edinburgh. The location is great for those that like to walk and with two bathrooms it makes a small group workable. The apartment is well equipped not too much and not too little. We had fun and could easily spend another week. Until next time!

"Lovely Apartment, very homely, really enjoyed my stay, the children didnt want to leave."

Excellent standard apartment, lovely and clean, very much recomemended. Close to city centre, and supermarked. The 3 children and baby had lots of room they had a double bed each. We loved the jacuzzi. We didnt want to leave. Great value for money.

"Great flat in a beautiful location"

We were greeted upon arrival as agreed (earlier than usual, as rearranged by Petrea to suit our schedule which was above and beyond what she had to do) and shown around the impeccably clean flat. Everything was exactly as listed, gorgeous views, great location and perfect for five guests. Views of Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Park while drinking our morning coffee made for a wonderful start to each day. Highly recommended!

"Can't believe it"

Still can't get over this amazing apartment, Jo Malone candles,jacuzzi,double range cooker,ice maker, largest fridge freezer in the world, etc,etc, We all want to live there permanently !! it is so comfortable, homely, with an amazing quality of fittings, it is unreal -almost as if you are living in their private home

"Pleasant and felt like home"

My girlfriend and I traveled to Edinburgh for our anniversary ... As we were spending a week in there, we decided to take an apartment to save a little bit of money, Staying this apartment felt totally like home. Clean, big enough, everything you need is there, excellent kitchen, equipped with everything you need really. location is good, 20 minutes away from the city, but walking through the park was a pleasure experience. There is a big supermarket on the other side (10 minutes walk) where you can shop for whatever you need. The owner was quite generous and helpful and welcomed any of our need. definitely a great vacation rental if ever in Edinburgh.

"Phenomenal - can't wait to return!"

When searching for a property to rent for a few days in Edinburgh to stay with a friend, we stumbled upon this apartment online. We felt it was the perfect size, and with a very short walk (10 mins) from the Royal Mile - it was a great base for the week! Petrea is a marvellous host, with everything organised well. For someone as meticulous as I, she was a godsend as she had everything in place. We received a warm welcome from Petrea and Steve, who helped us with our bags up the stairs, which was a great help. They were friendly and helpful, giving us tips and ideas for our stay. We felt immediately at home with the homely decor, and it was a delight to come back after a tiring day seeing the sights to such a comfortable place. It is more than big enough for a good few people to stay, although there were only two of us. We actually found ourselves popping back between tours and museums for a cup of tea, which we hadn't anticipated but it was so close and pleasant to be there. As for the flat itself, the two bathrooms were immaculate and handy, one being en suite. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, with plentiful hanging space. I suffer from a bad back, so mattresses are always a worry for me but I was comfortable, as whilst the beds are soft enough to be comfortable, they are still supportive. The living area is comfortable, and the dining table/coffee table is easy to use. The kitchen has every facility you could need, including a large fridge/freezer which is handy if you eat in the apartment. I cooked dinner in the flat, and I found more than enough pots and pans to last even my huge meals. The tenement is in fact very quiet, and the stairs are not so much as to be cumbersome. It is a very easy walk from the town centre, and a far better option than some of the more hilly places in Edinburgh. It had marvellous views over Arthur's Seat and had a supermarket a very short walk away. We would recommend getting your shopping delivered, ASDA came up the stairs for us which is a nice relaxing way of stocking the fridge. We will certainly be recommending this to our friends and family, and will hopefully be returning at some point. Thank you so much Petrea and Steve!
