From the owner

A self-contained, pet friendly holiday apartment: • One bedroom, with ensuite shower room and toilet • Open plan lounge and kitchen area with bed settee • Cottage now has private decked area to the rear. Located in the small village of Crosshill, a remote village in rural Ayrshire set in rolling hills and farmland. Crosshill is a quaint conservation village originally settled by Irish weavers, with many of the traditional, single storey weaving cottages still in existence. The village has a pub and post office / general store, which sells locally produced food. Just outside the village is Dalduff Farm, with a farm shop selling naturally reared meats and gourmet foods, and also hosts regular events and pop- up restaurants. Ideally located for walking and cycling holidays: The cottage is located on Cycle Route 7 which take visitors north to Ayr or south into the Galloway Forest. The hill roads of nearby South Carrick make up the ultimate road cyclist's playground. Popularly referred to as 'The Ayrshire Alps', the terrain offers fantastic scenery, cycle friendly roads, and a tough cycling challenge. http://www.ayrshirealps.org/ http://www.ayrshirepaths.org.uk/cyclepathsmaybole.htm The cottage is 4 miles from the rambling town of Straiton, . There are farm, field and woodland walks, river side strolls and hill top views. http://www.ayrshirepaths.org.uk/walkstraiton.htm
