Description

This lovely cottage is comfortable and cosy, set on a Derbyshire hillside with wonderful views of Matlock Bath - a Victorian holiday delight that is a very popular holiday destination with the Heights of Abraham and many other attractions. It is the perfect base to explore this beautiful, exciting and historic area, whether by car, train, cycle or on foot.

The White Peak is green and wooded, whereas the Dark Peak (to the North) tends to be more rugged and open moorland. There are many tracks and trails from your front door, walking and cycling books and maps are available to help you on your adventures.

Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are within minutes away (using wheels) and Hardwick Hall is a twenty minute drive. At the end of a full day exploring the area, you have the White Lion public house just 200 yards away where you can relax with great food and ale.

In the unlikely event of rain there is a smart TV, DVD player, wifi and loads of books and games. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would expect except for a dishwasher, but washing up liquid is provided!
