The Marseillan area
Marseillan is an ancient Phocean town founded in the VI century BC. In the old town the streets are narrow and many houses, like Le Faux Grenier, are built from Agde volcanic stone. It is a lively place with all the facilities you would expect and is suitable for all year round holidays whilst retaining its French atmosphere.
The supermarket and the many smaller shops are a few minutes away from the house and a colourful market on Tuesdays. Bars, restaurants, and cafes cater for all tastes from gourmet dining to pizzas; many are to be found alongside the port where you can eat and drink whilst watching the Canal du Midi craft mingle with fishing and pleasure boats.
