DAR SHARIQ is renovated old property built in the nineteenth century in the historical center of Marrakech, the Medina.

The house is located in the alleys of Sidi Ben Slimane area, 5 min. walk from the souks and 15 min. from Jemaa el Fna square.

DAR SHARIQ has 5 bedrooms for a maximum of 10 guest divided as follows:

ROOM 1: located on the ground floor, overlooking the patio and pool this room has a double bed and private bathroom. It can accommodate 2 people

BEDROOM 2: located on the first floor has a double bed and private bathroom. It can accommodate 2 people

ROOM 3 & 4: located at the first floor with a double bed each are sharing a bathroom with 2 separate entrances that provide a separe access from both rooms to ensure the adequate privacy. Can accommodate 4 people in two separate rooms.

ROOM 5: located on the second floor it is a suite with double bed, fireplace, flat screen TV and private bathroom.

THE PATIO: The central courtyard around which lies the building is the shared space of the house, the ideal place to relax with friends or with your family, where you can read, enjoy a freshly squeezed orange juice or a mint tea, or cool off in the large plunge pool in the hottest days.

During the mild winter of Marrakech patio it is equally exploitable given the presence of a cover and the gas heating.

THE TERRACES:

Dar Shariq has 2 terraces on two different levels,

the first further down has been manufactured with an area shaded by a wooden pergola, where the underlying tables can be served breakfast or dinner in the summer evenings.

The second terrace on the other hand, equipped with beds, is one of the highest in the district, that means a privileged view over the medina and the Atlas mountain range, ensuring privacy for those who want to sunbathe.

To respect the local people topless is prohibited.

We do not live in Morocco, we will be available in daytime schedules via email, while our manager present at some hours of the day will be at your disposal during your stay. Our staff will welcome you, giving a short briefing in regarding the house, the area, activities, restaurants. To comply with the current local law for accommodation facilities, which requires having staff present 24 hours a day, we have implemented our services by entering a night watchman, who will be present in an extremely discreet manner in the riad. I also take the oou will find our info-book in the living room with all our suggestions, private tours, kitchen lessons, massages and more.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Paolo e Cristina (the owner) a message.

If Paolo e Cristina (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
