Description from owner

Description

Ancient farmhouse set in 85 private hectares in the Tuscan Apennines, near the attractive town of Marradi.

The owner, an architect, lives in the adjoining hunter's lodge and personally supervised the farmhouse's recent restoration, using traditional materials to preserve the original style.

There is a common swimming pool with panoramic views from 700 mt altitude, a shaded loggia and tended lawns. The surrounding woodlands are rich in flora and fauna.

We advise you not to miss three thematic routes: the Medicis; the Mugello painters (Giotto, Cimabue and Beato Angelico); and the third heads towards Brisighella, Faenza and other medival and Renaissance towns on the way to Ravenna, home of wonderful mosaics.

In the house common rooms you may choose to rest and read, to play snooker on an antique billiards table, bake bread in the wood-fired oven or grill dinner to enjoy outside.

First floor: a large sitting-room with fireplace and TV, kitchenette, dining
