The perfect location to explore.....

We are bang in the heart of thriving Marlborough - the quintessential English market town with a long history - where bijoux boutiques, pubs and restaurants abound.

The Cotswold Water Park can be found 25 miles north of us and is a popular family destination offering numerous water sports and a lakeside beach. Historic Avebury is 7 miles away, and Stonehenge 30 miles away.

An hours drive from Heathrow, we are within 45 minutes of many tourist destinations including Bath, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, Oxford, Winchester and Salisbury.

Marlborough

Marlborough

Marlborough is the quintessential English market town. With a plethora of independent shops and boutiques, spend a leisurely day browsing interspersed with breaks in one of our many independent cafes.

Marlborough College runs an excellent summer school during July and hosts many food and craft fairs throughout the year.

Local produce and fayre can be found at the street market every Wednesday and Saturday, there is an excellent delicatessen and award winning butchers. For easy self catering, 'Cook' in Marlborough sell ready made meals to heat ...as good as home cooking. Waitrose, and Tesco all have stores in Marlborough.

For those seeking a more eclectic purchase, a carboot sale on the common attracts increasing numbers of knowledgeable antique dealers one Sunday a month from March to October. Great for a barter.

Visit Avebury and Stonehenge

Historic Avebury with its mystical ring of stones dates back to around 2600 BC and can be reached by car in 10 minutes or across the Ridgeway on foot for the more hardy. Whilst there you can visit the National Trust owned Avebury Manor whose renovations were the focus of a television documentary in recent years.

Silbury Hill, the largest, and perhaps the most enigmatic, of all megalithic constructions in Europe is just 1500 meters from Avebury, and Stonehenge some 30 miles from our house 34 The Green.

Hungerford is just 10 miles from 34 The Green and offers a true feast for the vintage, retro and antique enthusiast.
