Bywater is a haven for wildlife and is set on the edge of the small village of Newport at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds. Comprising of a luxury log cabin, overlooking a mature three acre lake set within nine acres of private landscaped gardens, woodland and meadowland. The lodge is finished to a very high standard with luxury fixtures and fine furnishings to make your stay very comfortable.

We regret that we do not accept all male/female parties, or groups under 25 years of age.

The fishing on the lake is exclusive for the residents of the log cabin and unhooking mats and landing nets are provided. There is also a building with a bait fridge and storage for fishing

Bywater Lake was formed well over 100 years ago from the extraction of clay for brick and tile making industry. Since then it has transformed into a beautiful lake which is now well stocked mixed coarse lake and home to some specimen carp up to 28lbs, pike up to 25 lbs, bream up to 11 lbs, eels up to 6 lbs and some other surprises!

“Amazing”

We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful, luxury, spotless log cabin. It is out of this world. Peaceful with a stunning view and the hot tub is amazing. Would defiantly recommend Bywater lake and we can not wait to come again.
