"FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC!!!!"
We, my wife, 2 kids (4 and 2), Father and Mother in Law and 2 Labradors have just returned from the most fabulous 4 night winter break at Grooms Cottage!! Louise and Brian are amongst some of the nicest people we have ever met and really could not do enough for you! A lovely welcome hamper awaited us, a bottle of lovely local apple juice, Locally baked bread and minature eggs from their own chickens on site! The snow was deep for the duration of our break at Grooms Cottage and this simply added to our fun! The grounds of the property are extensive to say the least and were perfect for excersising the dogs and kids! Brian even went out of his way to bring out the quad bike, rope and wooden sledge and gave us all a ride around the fields!!! The kids loved spending time with the horse and rabbits in the stables too! The house itself is perfect - under floor heating, wood burning stove AND Radiators (upstairs only) make for the most comfortable, relaxing winter break. Facilities are plentiful - we did a "big shop" en route and did not need to start the car again until we were leaving! Plenty of great local pubs serving food well within walking distance also. Then the Hot Tub!!!!!!! WOW!! This really was the icing on the best tasting cake!! Tucked away behind Brian and Louise's house, it is lovely and private - even has iPod connectivity so you can relax with your favourite music while sipping your favourite tipple!! We have just arrived home this afternoon and are already planning our return visit for the summer!! SIMPLY CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS COTTAGE ENOUGH!!!!!!!! GREAT JOB LOUISE AND BRIAN!! Ste, Katherine and family.

"Fantastic Cottage & Wonderful people"
We have just come back from a wonderful short stay in this Beautiful cottage. Brian and Louise were wonderful hosts during our stay, doing everything they could possibly do to help us enjoy our time and encourage us to make the most of all that was on offer to do. Our boys loved the space of the grounds & playing tennis. The cottage is immaculately clean, comfortable and has clearly been refurbished to an extremely high standard with the log burner just setting the perfect ambiance for those autumn evenings. The perfect country getaway is how we would describe it and we would definitely try to come back and visit again!

"A place not to be missed!"
Louise & Brian deserve every success. The have created a beautiful cottage with everything thought of plus those extra touches for a very special stay. We only stayed for 2 nights and wish it could have been for much longer. They are wonderful people who will look after anything you need and really make you feel at home, we would thoroughly recommend it and we will undoubtedly return. Heaven!

Louise and Brian couldn't have been more welcoming, making our stay for my birthday weekend very memorable. The cottage was a lovely relaxing place to stay, we couln't have asked for more. The grounds were lovely, all in all we had a fantastic time and would love to stay again. Thanks again Louise and Brian.

"We all had a fantastic time, Louise & Brian could not have been more friendly & helpful."
The cottage and grounds are outstanding, The friendly dogs, horses and chickens made our stay brilliant, Louise & Brian could not have been more helpful & friendly. Our two boys loved the tennis courts, rowing on the lake and relaxing in the hottub. Just walking round the grounds was very relaxing and enjoyable. The cottage has been restored to a very high specification with great attention to every detail and nothing has been left out, everything that you could need is to hand. Many thanks again to Louise and Brian and hopefully we will see you again. Mike, Nikki, Matthew & Isaac.

"Perfect romantic break!"
Louise and Brian gave us a very warm welcome to this newly restored cottage. It was more like staying in a hotel as Louise had provided so many little touches from a welcome basket of goodies to fresh flowers! We loved strolling round the grounds, feeding the fish, enjoying the roses and fountain, and meeting the hens and horses. Sadly the weather was not so perfect so we chose not to use the hot tub, but lit the fire instead! We hope future visitors get to watch the Greater Spotted Woodpecker on the bird feeder too!
