Casa Melograno is a lovely hold house typical of the Selinunte's countryside. This large estate consists of two villas, the Casa Melograno and the owner's house, they are completely indipendent. The house has recently been renovated with good taste and great care in the details. The architecture, both exterior and interior of the house, was fully respected using typical materials such as terracotta tiles on the roof or the terracotta bricks inside. The charming and panoramic location of Casa Melograno, at the summit of the estate, offers you a splendid view of the well tended countryside surrounding the property (olive trees and vineyards) and of the sea, wich is just 3 km away from the property. The house is divided in two apartments, which are on the same floor and communicate internally by a large door so, it can be used as a two separate apartments house or as a single house (the house is never rentable per single apartment, it is rentable only the whole house). From both the apartments you can enjoy a nice large terrace covered with a pergola, which is equipped with a wooden table and chairs for outdoor dining. The house has every modern comfort and is well furnished. Just a few meters from the house, a very nice swimmimg-pool 5x14m, gives you total relax with a wonderful view of the countryside.

The Sicily region
The Elemi, Phoenician, Carthaginian, Greeks, Arabs and Normans settled the Western side of the island. In the past this area was called “ Val di Mazara; it includes hilly landscapes covered by rich Olive groves and well grown vineyards. Along the costal landscape you can admire not only beautiful beaches of golden sand that look over the African sea, as well as stretches of rock coast suitable for snorkelling and pleasure craft. This is the area of Tonnara” (Tuna fish processing farm), of “ Blue fish”, of the “ salt routes ”, of the Zingaro, of Moscato and Marsala, “ “ Liquid Gold”, of the Temples and Mosaics.

We were taken to the Villa ( Casa Melograno) by the agent Aldo , he was very friendly and helpful . Unfortantely did not meet owners they were away. We were two couples staying at Villa Melograno and there was plenty of room. The villa was spotlessly clean and very comfortable , photo's do not do it justist . The only thing it could have done with was a microwave, but otherwise well equipped .We had lovely barbeques over the suburb views and sunsets . It is very peaceful and set in beautiful gardens. The swimming pool is fantastic and plenty of comfortable loungers. We had about 20 minute drive for supplies which had a very good Supermarket just on the outskirts of Castelvetrano, And yes we would defanetly recommend Casa Melograno.

"A beautiful secluded villa"
We stayed in for 1 week as party of 5 (1 child), renting the whole villa. We were guided into the villa with the obliging help of the agent we booked through, as it is tucked away in the hills above Selinunte. That turns out to be a real part of the charm of this place, as it has beautiful views over the valley and amazing sunsets. The view is there while relaxing at the well sized and cleverly designed pool as well. All the facilities are really well thought out and up to date, everything we needed (inc mod cons) was there. There is a lovely veranda and barbeque for the evenings and a well tended garden area sloping away from the house. There is much to see in the surrounding area, we liked Selinunte ruins and Sciacca. There is a beach a short drive from the hotel which unlike the hotspots around was not too busy even in August. Thoroughly recommended...

"Stunning villa, can't recommend enough."
We hired Casa Melograno for a week in Aug 14 for my Dad's 60th and I can't recommend it enough. The location is stunning and the pool is luxury. The villa is very well equipped and the layout of the bedrooms ensures privacy for a group (we were 3 couples). We were lucky that the owners were staying next door and were very helpful with local recommendations but it is just as easy to find great places to eat near by yourself. Sat nav is a must as there are a number of small roads leading to the villa but we were met and guided there by the very helpful Aldo on our first night despite arriving late in the evening. A trip to the local beach and nature reserve is recommended if you can bare to leave the pool! Will definitely be returning.

"A nice place to stay"
We enjoyed our stay in the Casa Melograno located in Marinella di Selinunte. The house is in very good condition, with three beautiful bedrooms (each with a private bathroom). Moreover, there are two living rooms fully equipped. The pool, located right next the house, gave an extra dimension to our holidays: we enjoyed hanging around, swimming, having apéro and watching the beautiful sun-sets. The owner/caretaker are very friendly people, and supported us whenever we needed it. Overall, a very nice place which we can definitely recommend.

"We came, we saw, we fell in love!"
From the first moment we arrived at the property we had one of our best holidays ever. All brand new, clean and spacious. Fruit & vegetables to be picked from the neighbours (owners of the property: such a warm and helpful family!). The luxurious swimming pool. We'll definitely show up once (or many) more!

We had a wonderful week in early June. The accommodation was excellent, and all the equipment worked. There is a wonderful view over surrounding vineyards. Our hosts were very helpful.
