Description

Set in 25 acres of beautiful countryside near the North Cornwall coastal town of Bude, Hilton Farmhouse and holiday cottages is an ideal place to relax for families, larger groups or couples. Our 16th century farmhouse sleeps 11.We also have 3 modern cottages (sleep 4-7) and 6 barn conversions (2-6). There are great facilities on site; a heated outdoor pool (open Easter-Sept), hot tub, play area and games room. With fantastic views over the countryside down to the sea, Hilton is just 2 miles from North Cornwall's coastline. You can relax and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful setting or make the most of the range of activities available locally (surfing, bike hire, walking along the coastal path, pony trekking, coasteering). If you want to see more of Cornwall and North Devon, Tintagel, Boscastle, Padstow, the Eden Project, Appledore and Clovelly are all easily accessible. Hilton is great for children, with an outdoor play area, animals and lots of space to run around. Our larger cottages are all set round the play area and swimming pool, with our three smaller cottages for 2 looking over our fields, set away from the family area .

Getting around

We are not on any major public transport routes. The nearest mainline train station is Exeter or Plymouth (about an hour away). There are infrequent bus services to Exeter, Plymouth and Barnstaple from Bude. The area is best explored with a car. We are a few minutes from the A39 which connects you to North Devon and the rest of North Cornwall.

Interaction with guest

We want all our guests to have a great time. We try to meet with all guests when they arrive to hand over keys, show people around and answer any questions about the local area. Sometimes this isn't possible in which case we make other arrangements for key collection. We provide information in all cottages on facilities on site and the local area. We live on site (although we are not there 24/7) and we are happy to answer questions about the local area and suggest places to visit. We aim to be unobtrusive but helpful so guests can get on enjoying their holiday as they want to.

Groups - we welcome quiet(ish) groups for parties or get-togethers. We would ask that guests respect other guests on site and our neighbours and not make too much noise outside after 11pm or before 8am.

We do not accept groups where the majority are under 21.

“Perfect Holiday with Lovely Views”

A large group of 10 of us stayed in the Farmhouse which was perfect size for all of us. Only a five minute drive to Bude. Facilities at Hilton were perfect including the pool, hut tub & other facilities which we made good use of especially the tennis & football area.

First of all I would like to thank the owners Fay and Bernardo for their kind hospitality. They were very accommodating as we were getting married during our stay and allowed numerous guests to a small after party at our cottage with no objection. They also gave us a pleasant surprise on arrival with a bottle of champagne in the fridge with congratulations! As for the cottage and the site itself, it was excellent. The cottage was really beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The grounds included a heated swimming pool, a hot tub, tennis courts, a games room and a play area. Not only that but there are Shetland Ponies, Rabbits and Chickens to see. We found ourselves not having to the leave the site as we were occupied. But when you do venture out, the location is gorgeous with a lot of the scenery being visible from the site. All in all, we want to come back and we are already planning another visit next year. Once again, thank you Fay and Bernardo for our lovely stay!

Great stay and accommodation. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. The farmhouse was perfect for our needs and the complex great for large or small parties. Beds were very comfy, rooms clean and cosy, and the owners extremely accommodating. We were a group of 10 adults, 4 babies, and 1 child and all had a great stay.

How do damage deposits work?
