Our beautiful and spacious home from home is a large two bedroom garden apartment in an Arts & Craft period building called Wolverdene with the beach and sea at the end of the road.

Wolverdene is in the Avenues of Cliftonville, with the famous Tom Thumb Theatre as your neighbour. You will be a three minute drive from the sandy beach known as Margate Main Sands, the Turner Contemporary and Margate Old Town. Alternatively you can take a leisurely fifteen minute walk, or cycle along the picturesque cliff top. A taxi will cost you just £3.40.

The apartment has all mod cons, and many period features such as high ceilings yet retains it's period charm and warmth. You can see the sea from both bedrooms. A home away from home with the added bonus of having a beach at the end of the road.

The town has an artistic energy with a mixture of traditional seaside charm and contemporary culture, especially the cobbled streets of the Old Town which has a unique vibe and boasting various chic vintage shops, cafes and galleries, alongside traditional delights of fish and chip shops, cafes and candyfloss stalls.

Margate is full of nostalgic buildings from its rich Victorian past. On our doorstep is the Margate's Winter Gardens that regularly draws big name acts for more than 100 years and the Tom Thumb Theatre which is the second smallest in the country.

We are in Cliftonville, a residential area of Margate, a pleasant seafront walk from Margate old town, Dreamland & the Turner Contemporary. The seafront, bandstand & bowling green are just a few seconds walk away. Plenty of shops again just a short walk away, including a bank, post office, chemist, butcher, baker & hairdressers. Sea views, cliff top walks and cycling paths. My husband and I are happy to make local recommendations for our guests!

“Beautiful apartment in great location”

From the initial contact Hester has been excellent, speedy responses and clear instructions for all questions asked. The apartment itself is stunning and with the added advantage of a garden it made it perfect, we felt very lucky to be staying.

It was a pleasure guys! We hope to see back soon!
