The Old Bank House, offers an ideal position in the heart of Margate's Old Town and cultural quarter, a few minutes from the beach and the Turner Gallery. In the Old Town it's easy to explore the many galleries including the Turner Contemporary, the cafes , retro and vintage shops and boutiques as well as the award winning beaches. Enjoy and explore Margate, the creative and artistic centre of Kent.

The house offers spacious holiday accommodation with a large living room (the original banking hall with its high ceilings,) a dining room and kitchen, downstairs cloakroom and walled courtyard garden as well as its own off street parking. Upstairs are three bedrooms , a large double bedroom, a twin room and a single room and a modern bathroom. There is also a travel cot available.

There is a private off street parking space with direct access to the rear of the property. External space for bicycles or a motor bike. A raised 18th century walled courtyard area offers an outdoor seating and eating area access by a small number of steps.

Kent, known as the garden of England offers a wide range of countryside and coastline and is easily accessible provding a great base for a few days or a longer break. There area castles, cathedrals and oast houses to visit along with hop farms and market towns.

Margate, one of the 3 main towns in Thanet, along with Broadstairs and Ramsgate, is famous through the sunsets and open skies painted by Turner. Margate, as the home of the new Turner Contemporary Gallery it is experiencing a resurgence. The first seaside resort in the country, Margate has drawn visitors ever since the 1730s. The 700 year old harbour has been refurbished housing cafes and galleries.

The house is within the Old Town , minutes from the beach, the cafes and restaurants on the seafront. It is in the cultural quarter with galleries in the adjoining streets and 200 metres from the new Turner Gallery.

The Old Town forms the cultural heart of Margate and thanet with its historic street pattern and houses dating from the 17th century.In addition to the Turner Gallery and independent galleries, there are retro and vintage shops selling high quality furniture and designer boutiques alongside cafes and resturants as well as one of the best traditional fish and chip shops.

Joss Bay offers surfing, and other water sports are available at the many other beaches close by. Excellent golf courses including the North Foreland Golf Course. Ramsgate (regattas) and Broadstairs (Folk Week) are close by,
