This luxurious self catering apartment easily accessible from London and only 1hr 20mins by train from St Pancras International. The property is set on the lower ground floor of a classic Victorian house on the sea front. The open plan living space is beautifully fitted out with original stripped wooden floors and two comfortable sofas, one of which opens out as a double bed. There is a 50 inch plasma TV with DVD theatre system and free unlimited download WiFi. The apartment has a fully equipped large kitchen newly installed including washer drier. There is a very spacios lounge / dining area with a large oak dining table with ample seating for six. There are two beautiful bathrooms, one being the family bathroom and the other being a spectacular en suite wet room. The property is self contained with it's own entrance door and is generally very quiet and peaceful. The Isle of Thanet region

Margate enjoys one of the best summertime climates in the UK situated on the south east tip of England very close to the Continent. The apartment is ideally located on the sea front and is a five minute walk to Margate harbour and Margate's wonderful large sandy beach. There are many tourist attractions including Dreamland which is ten minutes walk away with lots of entertaining fairground rides including the newly reconstructed wooden roller coaster one of only three in the world. There are numerous pubs and restaurants idyllically set in the old town many overlooking Margate sands and the picturesque harbour. There is a jet ski hire five minutes away and the famous Walpole Bay Hotel a ten minute walk away where you can relax with a beer and glass of wine on its beautiful veranda overlooking the sea. Canterbury and its famous cathedral is a short distance from Margate and for those interested in naval history or just wishing to pop over to Calais for the day then Dover is just along the coast.

Margate is one of Englands most famous Victorian seaside towns with a commanding position overlooking the sea surrounded by many sandy beaches (the main Margate beach being the largest) all of which have the European Flag of approval. From sailing, swimming, kite surfing, golf, to cycling or rambling along the coastline, Margate and the surrounding area offers beautiful scenery in a vibrant environment. Margate has undergone extensive renovation in recent years and contains an array of fine art galleries, traditional pubs, wine bars, and restaurants to enjoy and relax in as you wander around the cobblestone streets. The recent addition of the Turner Contemporary has attracted national praise for both the gallery and the exhibitions staged to date. Dreamland, Margate's famous amusement park is now restored and open for all the family to enjoy with extra events throughout the year. Along the coast is Royal Ramsgate with its beautiful marina many harbouside restaurants and wine bars. Further along the coast is the famous sea side town of Broadstairs steeped in the history of Charles Dickens.This lovely town has many fine bars and restaurants and Viking Bay provides a beautiful beach location. Various festivals and events occur throughout the year in both Margate and Broadstairs including jazz, folk music, beach volley ball, art and literary events. Quex House,a fine voluminous country mansion near Birchington offers 250 acres of beautiful parkland and a farm shop. For the golfer there is an abundance of golf clubs in and around the Isle of Thanet including the world famous Royal St George's at Sandwich.

“Like home from home!”

We had a lovely weeks stay in the apartment. It exceeded our expectations, great space, nice decor and furnishings and everything we needed as a family. I personally would have appreciated a hoover to have kept the apartment as immaculate as we found it but that's by no means a negative. The owner and his wife were very accommodating and helpful. As a family we would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.
