“Perfect”

Reviewed 31 Oct 2016

This lovely little family house had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and homely and extremely well situated for the sea, beach and exploring near and far. The bad review further down the page is utter rubbish. This house is very clean and the kitchen and bathroom seem newly appointed and were spotless. I don't want to rave too much otherwise we'll miss out next time we want to book! Thank you and a big thumbs up to the owners!

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your kind comments. looking forward to you coming again.

“Wonderful week away”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2016

We had a fabulous week away with my sister and her husband. The house is in a great position, a lovely pub with a sea view, a very short walk from a beautiful beach and close to shops. The house had everything we needed with a nice family feel, we had two children with us under two so we spent alot of time in the garden which is very pretty and well kept, we were even lucky enough with the weather to sit outside and eat most days. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had, I would highly recommend this holiday home and cannot wait to go again ourselves!

Owner's reply: Thanks for adding your comments

“Nice Holiday House”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2013

Myself and a few friends stayed for a week in this nice house. I would think that it is more a summer house than a winter house since it took some time to get the temperature up when it was windy outside. One of the reasons for this may also be that we found out that there was no central heating, but some portable ovens to heat up the house. But in the summer I can't imagine this to be any problem at all. The £1 electricity meter in the hallway was new to me as a foreigner, but it was all right, although you only got 2 units (2 kWh?) for a pound. (A lot would go to the heating of the house.) The overall experience was good. The house was clean and tidy, there were plenty of kitchen utensils, and cutlery. The neighbourhood is quiet and nice and there's a very short distance to nearest store/cash machine and bus stop which takes you to both Margate and Canterbury. Everything you would want to see is just a bus ride away and we had a fantastic week discovering Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Cosy and nice house.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your comments The electric coin meter in fact gives 5 kWh per pound and not 2 kWh as you stated. The Meter has been calibrated by the supplier at 20 pence per kWh This is less than we pay for the electricity. We appreciate you arrived in our house in one of the coldest weeks and as a result of your review we will in future offer central heating in the winter periods.
