This is a very unique property, located in Marbesa Urbanisation, one of the best kept secrets of Marbella. It is a one bedroom cottage, kind of a studio with sepparate kitchen and bathroom. It is attached to the owners' main villa with a totally independent entrance. Main Villa is not for rent and will not be occupied while the cottage is rented so you will have the whole outdoor area to yourself such as BBQ, patios, porches, pool and garden. The cottage is fitted with a design kitchen, a large double sink bathroom with shower and bathtub, plus plenty of storage. Open the curtains and enjoy pool and garden views from your bed! Dining and living areas are just ouside your bedroom in the covered porches of the main house. The large 11 meter private pool is ideal for exercise and the garden is quite large and very private. The second full bathroom is located in the pool area. There is plenty of parking in front of the villa but you can also park in the inside open garage driveway.

Marbesa offers all year round seaside Chiringuitos (restaurants on the beach) which are just steps away from the villa. Two 360 day open supermarkets and a hairsalon are only about a 10 min walk away. One of our guests recommended Gimnasio Romana, just down the beach about 2Km right after Nikki Beach Club. According to them, instructors were very nice and there are many classes to choose from. They paid EUR 40, 2 people for 2 weeks. Marbesa is a very lush and tidy upscale urbanisation off the tourist track. If you are looking for a relaxing place near the sea and beautiful surroundings, look no further. Plenty of shopping areas in Sitio de Calahonda (McDonalds exit from Autovia) or Elviria. Cabopino, with its cute marina and restaurants is only a few minutes away. Marbella and the biggest shopping mall in the area "La Canada" is only a 15 min drive.Even if you do not have a car you can walk to restaurants, supermarkets and the beach. Local buses and taxis are nearby and should you wish, I could recommend a very reliable one.Once you arrive at the property, if there is something you require or you are not satisfied with please do not hessitate to let us know as soon as possible and we will make every effort to assist you.Should you wish catering, or to get some basic shopping done during or prior to your arrival, please let us know a couple of days in advance. The Costa del Sol region

The region offers plenty of sightseeing.
If you feel like exploring here are some of the day trips you could make:

*Malaga historic city centre and Cathedral. You can drive up to El Parador and enjoy a spectacular view of Malaga and the bay.
*Mijas Pueblo on the mountain. Amazing views from here too.
*Marbella old city centre and Board walk: Los naranjos square, the church, the narrow streets, a nice shopping alternative to the mall.
*Benahavis and its lovely restaurants hidden in the back street. Most lively on Fridays and Saturdays.
*The lovely Puerto Banus. Really good pizas at Picasso with great prices compared to other overpriced restaurants in the Puerto Banus Marina
*Istan. Great for mountain walks and local food.
*Antequera. Try to arrive before noon to be able to visit the "El Carmen Church" A real jewel.

This region offers amazing sea and mountain settings. Go and explore but make sure you have plenty of day light to go back as
some of the mountain roads can be a bit intimidating, specially if you venture to Ronda or Istan.

Please do your own research as these are just some of the highlights of the region.


Marbesa is perfectly located between Elviria and Cabopino. It is appreciated for the relaxing atmosphere, lush green environments and tidiness. The area is very well maintained and the streets going down to the beach are lovely for early morning or evening walks.
Marbesa has a variety of restaurants on the beach. One of our favourites, Club 200 is known for its fresh fish dishes and it is located straight on the beach. Rama also is located straight on the beach and offers meat and other traditional dishes. Restaurante Sinbad is located next to the old Moorish watchtower guarding the area and apparently it has an international menu offering a little something for everyone.
In the building Coronado facing the pool and garden areas there is a family owned restaurant that was recently recommended by my neighbors. On the National Road as you leave Marbesa direction Fuengirola you will find el Rancho Grill, famous for its steaks and mixed grill. El Rancho Grill, is a very famous and elegant restaurant despite the less attractive exterior appearance. We had a fantastic meal this December. Specialties are grilled meats on the stone. For wine lovers they have an amazing bodega and an expert somelier! It is bit on the pricey side as they charge for every side dish and per person. Maybe good to try for the lunch menu first.The meat is excellent and el Rancho has a good reputation for a good evening out.
There are some smaller restaurants and cafeterias in the small pueblo Andaluz or Andalusian Village, also as you leave Marbesa direction Fuengirola after passing El Rancho Grill. Direction La Cala de Mijas there is Oceana Hotel with a very good restaurant facing the beach.
Another fantastic venue that we recently tried (New Year's Celebration) is Trocadero Arena by Rio Real just before Marbella on the beach side. Lovely beach club and great ambience for a special evening and sunsets.These are just some of the choices nearby.
On the Marbesa camping there is a supermarket open all year round. The Opencor of Hacienda las Chapas on your right at the first roundabout, as you exit the carretera to go to Marbesa and accross from Rancho Grill is the other supermarket in the area and opens 365 days a year, 18 hours a day. Further shopping can be done in nearby Elviria where apart from a supermarkets there is a Churreria and a German Bakery to die for!
Further away you have big supermarkets like the recently opened Carrefour in Fuengirola, Eroski at the mall Miramar in Fuengirola with underground parking, Hipercor at El Corte Ingles Fuengirola and in Puerto Banus. Al Campo in La Canyada mall in Marbella. There are several Lidl stores along the carretera between La cala de Mijas and Marbella as well as a Mercadona next to Lidl after Elviria direction Marbella.
Although Marbesa does not have its own sport facilities the tennis courts of the don Carlos hotel tennis club (over ten gravel courts) is only a 10 minute walk. There are several golf courses located within a 10minute car drive, the most famous ones being the Santa Maria, Santa Clara and Rio Real 18 holes courses.
Water activities can be enjoyed at nearby Cabopino beach or the Don Carlos/Nikki beach. Nearby you will find the areas of Elviria and also Cabopino with its lively small marina and restaurants. If you drive to Cabopino, maybe it is best to park on the beach entrance near the light tower and walk down to the marina to your left after 2 chiringuitos.
The famous Nikki Beach Club, newly reformed is a stroll away on the beach but we all prefer the more quiet and refined ambience of Trocadero.
Marbesa is a gem for those looking to relax even during the busy summer months.

“This beautiful cottage redefines relaxation and hospitality”

Our 10 day stay was fantastic! We arrived after a long 2.200 km+ trip, visiting Paris, Biarritz, Madrid and Granada and were obviously ready for doing absolutely nothing for a few days. The garden and the great pool really helped us out there. We found both to be bigger than expected. The cottage was small: a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom. But that was all we needed. The bed was good, the shower better than in some hotels we've stayed in and the kitchen inventory was quit complete. So: we had all we need for a great stay! Jorge was the perfect help with everything, while Maria, the owner, was in Tokyo. We were in contact though, and she made sure nothing could spoil our stay at her house. The location is perfect for trips. We made trips to Malaga, Ronda and Gibraltar. Club 200 is a nearby restaurant where you can literally eat on the beach. Very nice for a sunset meal. But the best dinners came of the barbecue at the house. All the tips we received beforehand really helped us to pick some trips and placed to go, so that's also a big plus! “Just what we needed!”

The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet area just up from the beach, very secure and private, the building is beautiful. The annex that you stay in just to the side of the main house is about the size of a large hotel room, more than adequate! especially as we mainly sat out on the patio area from 8am and could sit out there until about 1am as the weather was so great and listening to the waves from the sea whilst in such great surroundings ie: pool lights on, large garden area, make for a most relaxing evening :) There is a large bathroom (2 wash basins etc) and small kitchen area (2 hob plates, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and all utensils etc) All very clean and adequate . In the garden area, by the pool you have another shower room/toilet which is very convenient, There is a large seating area next to a great BBQ, which we used several times and loved it!! Wish I was back there now. The grounds that you stay on are very well kept and pretty, the pool is fantastic and we lazed around that on many occasions. Jorge is the guy who greets you at the cottage, he tends to the pool and grounds and is a really bubbly, easy going person . There are atleast 8 beach bar/restaurants in 5/10 minute slow walk from the cottage, we ate at Papillion and Ra Ma which were both very nice, had drinks in Simbad and Club 200 which have very nice views of the sea and sunsets We also ate at Sloanes in Elviria which the food was lovely and the setting, they appear to have a lot of English regulars but we were not treated any differently to these and really enjoyed ourselves. Our most enjoyable place to eat was El Jinete in Mijas mountains, highly recommend, romantic! We drove the long way thru the mountains which is abit scary what with the winding roads with no safety barriers, but worth it for the thrill and views! Visited Marbella, Puerto Banus, Puerto Capibino, Nikki beach (over rated), and Mijas with its very long stretch of beach which is lovely and clean and you can walk along a promenade which takes you to all different parts of beaches and restaurants along the way, or hire a beach double bed for the day right next to a restaurant/bar and chill for the entire day on the beach. Hire a car, its easy to drive from Malaga airport to Marbesa and to just get around, there is a large supermarket called Mercadona just a short drive near Elviria that has everything you could want or need for a BBQ or meals at the cottage or just a 5 min stroll near the beach is a mini market called Dia which is also good. I could go on and on as I absolutely loved this place, having the cottage and surroundings/pool to yourselves and all completely private - FANTASTIC!

“A little gem”

I was looking for a secure, peaceful, comfortable, value-for-money place to stay on my own for a few days and I am pleased to say that this is what this charming garden cottage provided. The owner (Maria) and her caretaker (Jorge) are experts in hospitality. Whilst the accommodation is adequate for two people who would be happy to share a space approximately the size of a hotel standard double room, it is the external features (garden, patio and pool) that give this property the edge.

“Affordable bliss!”

If you want to experience the luxury of a top end villa holiday with the price tag of a small apartment then look no further. Your own private pool, beautiful garden and terraces all within a couple of minutes walk from the sea make for an unforgettable holiday. We luxuriated in two weeks of relaxing in the sun peppered with visits to nearby villages and a trip to the beautiful Mijas which is only 30 minutes away. In the evenings we enjoyed both eating in and eating out. Although the Rancho Grill doesn't look much from the outside it is glorious inside and the food is wonderful (fab wine list). Nearby Cabopino (probably not correct spelling) is a lovely village with a small marina and loads of restaurants. When you are relaxing with your night cap you can hear the waves crashing from the villa's terraces - always a perfect end to the perfect day. For a relaxing and peaceful holiday you would be very hard pushed to find anything better than this on the Costa Del Sol.

“A house, an owner like no other...”

We really enjoyed our stay in that wonderful place!!! Maria, the owner, took care of every detail to make sure we could enjoy her amazing property. More than renting a house, she welcomed us almost as friends. Let us tell you more THE AREA, Nice and quite 20 min away from Marbella city center, the area is really calm and quite. The house is surrounded by other beautiful houses. Very nice neighborhood! A 5 minute walk to the beach/A 10 min walk to the nearest grocery store/10 minutes away from 3 restaurants. It is a great location even if you don't have a car (that was our case) THE HOUSE, Just Beautiful Big swimming pool, real BBQ with a chimney, 2 fridges (inside and outside), long chairs, pool sofa, Wi-fi everywhere...Nothing is missing..Or if there is anything missing just call Maria and you will get it in no time. Since I was the one in charge of washing the clothes, I would just have liked the place to have a laundry machine :-) THE OWNER Even though she was really far away (in another country), she managed everything for us to be at ease at her place. She did so well we almost thought it was ours... Jorge, the gardener, is really nice and always available to help whatever the issue is. Here is the winning formula!
