Whether you are a lover of the beach and water sports, or just want to relax and soak up the sun, this front-line beach apartment in Elviria, east of Marbella, is the perfect place for an unforgettable holiday. During the winter months this apartment has been completely gutted and refurbished completely. New electrics,plumbing, flooring,bathrooms, kitchen and all new furniture. Very well furnished and with full air-conditioning, the accommodation comprises one double bedroom with en suite shower room and twin sinks, one bedroom with a queen size bed (180cms) two good size bunk beds (90cms each), a further full bathroom, a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher (all new appliances), and a large lounge with dining area. A three seater and two seater sofa plus two easy chairs provide ample comfortable seating. One of the sofas converts to a double bed setee to give various sleeping options. Both the living room and master bedroom have patio doors leading on to a private terrace surrounded by mature plantings and lawns. Garden furniture and sun loungers are provided, as well as a barbecue.

The complex is completely fenced, and access to the beach is via security gates. Behind the apartment is the communal swimming pool with further terraces and beautiful gardens - an ideal spot for relaxing away from the beach. Further attractions include the proximity of Marbella and its charming old town, up-market shops and all the nightlife. Finally, there is an excellent beachside restaurant/bar virtually on your doorstep, plus supermarket, bars and discos within reasonable walking distance.

The Andalucia region

The Costa del Sol is one of Spain's most popular holiday destinations and has a fantastic Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild winters making it a wonderful year-round holiday destination. There is a wealth of activities on your doorstep, from golf courses to suit all abilities to every type of watersport. It's great for kids, too, with various exciting theme parks in the area. And there's the beach, of course, that at "Perla Blanca" being one of the most beautiful on the costa.

Marbella, Malaga

The area known as Elviria has many beachfront restaurants and Elviria town itself (5 to 10 mintues walking distance) has various supermarkets, bars ,shops restaurants. The town also has a taxi rank and bus service to bring you to nearby towns such as Marbella (10km) Perto Banus (15 km) Fuengirola (18km). Taxis are also available locally - just order one through the nearby beach restaurant.

While a car is not essential, if you were to hire one you could be a bit more adventurous and explore inland Andalucia as well, enjoying a taste of the tradiitonal way of life away from the tourists - little "white villages" perched on hillsides, like Monda, Guaro and Ojen, are just a 25 minute drive away.

"Another Successful return visit"

We have had a great repeat stay in WPB. Fabulous location, great complex and thanks to Joan for everything as usual. La Pearla Blanca great for lunch or a casual dinner and great variety of restaurants at the top of the hill and across the Bridge - Restaurant Elviria , Elviria Deli, Asia Food and Art Cafe. In Marbella Old Town, La Paloma is great. Water Park in mijas is great for the kids and the beach at Elviria is beautiful. Good supermarkets locally and regular bus service. Apartment is very well equipped and great garden and patio with BBQ. we look forward to returning again/

"Very Disappointing - Tired, Dirty, Damp And Musty"

Booked this apartment knowing the location from previous visits. we travelled with our 4 yo daughter and elderly parents. The booking went smoothly and we met Joan at the pre-arranged meeting point - the car park adjacent to the apartments. Unusually, Joan did not accompany us to the apartment - the keys were handed over with brief instructions and we were left to our own devices. Upon entering the apartment we were immediatley hit with the smell of obvious damp which had permeated all the fabrics and even though the windows were kept open as far as pracicable the smell remained for the duration of our stay. First impressions of the furnishings and general decor was "tired" and in need of some TLC to bring it up to an acceptable standard bearing in mind the cost and location. Towels were provided however I could find only 1 bath towel and three hand towels - between 5 of us! One of our party sustained a nasty scratch from a sharp item embedded on a hand towel. Fortunately we had brought our own which we in fact left behind for the benefit of future guests. The main bedroom was simply furnished however upon sitting on the bed it was clear that some springs had broken and required replacing. The second bedroom was very poorly furnished. Beds made with poor quality mismatched linen. Only a sheet onthe bed - I looked for warmer covers and could only find ancient throws and coverlets which deperately need a wash - they were filthy and damp. Bathrooms had mould in the showers and were generally not very clean. A text to the letting agent in the UK advising them of our issues did not receive any response. We made the most of our break - the location, as we knew, is excellent .

We were suprised by this review and wish we had been told during the visit. The apartment had a full refurb shortly afterwards and all has been put right. A family who stayed last August booked to come again this year in July. And they have now booked 3 weeks for 2014!
