Welcome to our Beachside apartment in the wonderful village of La Cala.

La Cala de Mijas was formerly a fishing village and the old pueblo can still be seen. It lies 25 mins drive west from Malaga Airport on the Costa del Sol.

As you walk the narrow cobbled streets you will be transported back into a time gone by.

The beach is about 2,000 meters long and is suitable for families. There is a nice promenade with plenty of chiringuitos (beach bars) serving snacks drinks and fresh fish. I would recommend Los Morenos where they cook fresh fish on an open fire pit and serve lovely salads.

The apartment has a perfect location only 50 meters from the beach and within easy reach of La Cala de Mijas village and all its services.

Spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom property that will sleep up to 6 people.

The complex has a large swimming pool and a children's pool both set within communal gardens which are well maintained and are for residents use only.

For the shoppers there are 2 fabulous shopping centres nearby not to mention Ireland's own Dunnes and Primark stores 5 minute drive away!

Horse racing is also available in the local Hippodrome which also hosts concerts.

Only 25 mins drive west of Malaga Airport.

Mijas Aquapark 5 mins drive away where you can have family fun all day.

This apartment will appeal right across the board to everyone: from couples as a romantic getaway, groups of friends and families for a holiday break to groups of golfers who want a weekend away.

The Costa del Sol region

Come to the Costa del Sol a region in the south of Spain in the community of Andalusia in the province of Malaga to see beautiful landscapes, taste delicious food and experience the warmth of the people. It is rich in cultural heritage, fabulous beaches and charming villages. This is a very popular holiday destination due to its mild weather all year round especially the coast which is sheltered by high mountains and affords over 300 sunny days a year. Temperatures in summer range from 20c to 30c. There is a place for everyone in this area.

Marbella

La Cala de Mijas is situated in Mijas Costa in the province of Malaga, Andaulsia , Southern Spain. It sits between Fuengirola to the east and Marbella to the west .La Cala was once a typical Andalusian white-washed fishing village until tourism took over but parts of that old village can still be seen. It is indeed a charming village with a restored Moorish tower, a friendly village atmosphere and lots of appeal. The town offers nice easy pace of life not being taken over completely by tourism, but with good facilities a lovely golden sandy beach and close to bigger towns for those who may want more action. The white washed pueblo of Mijas village is 10 minutes away. La Cala offers a great base to go off and visit other parts. Several Golf resorts are located close by ie La Cala Golf, El Chapparal and Mijas Golf. The village may be small but has a good choice of restaurants Chinese, Thai, English, Spanish, Tapas bars and a fabulous Irish bar that stands as you enter la Cala called Biddy Mulligans where you can relax over a coffee, have lunch or watch your favourite team. La Cala boasts 2 markets a week where you can pick up a bargain if you are prepared to haggle! There are also other markets in Fuengirola which are worth visiting. There are several religious festivals which take place throughout the year notably July 16th La Virgin del Carmen the protectress of seamen where statues of her are paraded by the water and fireworks. Festival of San Juan is held on 24th June and is celebrated along the coastline with bonfires and fireworks.The Mijas Carnival is held the last 2 weeks Sept and is worth paying a visit too.
